kinda like using a deep socket and hammer crude but effective. Does the pointed tip markup or scratch top of valve? regardless anything's better then the one at harbor freight still gotta dent in my forehead using them

I had a heck of a time with this tool tool until I figured it out. It’s for sure great at getting the keepers and collet out, quick tap with a hammer and you’re done.
Tapping with a hammer is the only way I’ve had luck getting the keepers back in also. With smaller valve stems you might have to grind the pointed part of the install tool to prevent the keepers from binding. I had to turn mine down to work with the 5mm stems on an M5.
I think whiteblocks are a 6mm or 7mm valve stem? Had I known to turn that pointed part of the tool down I would have done it for my Volvos too.

The more strength you use the more likely you are to slip and the more likely you’ll lose your eye or break your knuckles so I recommend for everyone (if you have the heads out) using a rag and tripling+ it up to hold the valve in place. Also if you do have the heads off, do it on the floor where you’ll have more leverage. The way my heads are designed it’s hard to use the tool but it still works!

I use a clamp when the head is off. Not the fastest but very easy.

You're meant to smack it with a rubber mallet.

I think i would blame your tecnique, not the tool. A bad tradesman always blames his tools

Thanks for your "opinion". The point is, some engines have stronger springs than others. It may work good on some engines with weaker springs.
