I have followed your crochet videos for the last year and had no idea you had a pin loom tutorial! I gave up on it because the written instructions just weren’t cutting it. I feel inspired again! Thank you!
I've had this loom in its box for about 8 years. I got at a yard sale for 1.00. Lol I was a weaver for many a years, and also ran and made worps for GVD. I am so glad I seen this video. The box is so old I can't read it any more. I've enjoyed it.
I just got my four-inch pin loom and have searching all weekend for videos on how to use it. Your instructions are by far the best! Thank you for teaching this old bird an old craft! You are awesome!
Thank you for this awesome demonstration. I’ve seen several pin loom instructions but this one is the best by far. I bought my niece a Butterfy pin loom and shared this with her.
Learning to make pin loom squares is my project choice for the group Fun A Day Reseda, CA This group starts individual projects in the month of January, to get the year off in a creative way. They then have a small public exhibition of everyone’s January work. Thank you for the clear instructions! 1/3/21
I just came across my grandmother's loom after 40 years. She won many first place blue ribbons at the County fair. Her work was amazing. I was able to complete two squares with your help.
This was a great tutorial. Easy to follow and the end product came out great. Just recently purchased the loom. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion.
Awesome video! Thank you! You do not have to apologize for shakiness! (EVERYBODY has a slight tremor to varying degrees.) I love your videos, your voice, your humor, your work, all of it! You are an AMAZING WONDERFUL TEACHER & we love you! 🥰
I read the directions that came with it, watched a couple of other videos (including one the manufacturer did) and read a couple of blogs. Each one either skipped important steps, had shooting angles that did not show what they were doing on the loom, or made errors (with notes saying to ignore the photos bc of errors). I was about to give up on my pin loom until I came across your video. It was clear and specific. Thank you so much! I'm going to search for your name to see what other tutorials you might have.
Thank you !!!!! Really great tutorial. You made it so easy and clear to follow. I had my loom in storage for years and watching this inspired me. Second cup of coffee and I am flying through it.
I bought two pin looms last week at a de-stash sale without any idea how to use them. But lo and behold, you have one of your beautifully clear tutorials and now I have watched you make a square I am going to attempt my first one. Thank you!
Thank you, just got 2" weave -it and trying to follow the microscopic instructions had me going blind. So much easier to follow along with you -made my first little square and yes I will be doing many more! Thank you so much -great video!
Hooray hooray hooray. Thank you so much for showing me how to do this. I have had my loom for at least a year ,more like two. It sits right me side me on end table. I refused to put it away until I knew how to work it. This is the first time any one has really gave a complete demo. How wonderful you are. I know how hard it is to do something on a table when you are use to holding it in your lap. I really appreciate you and your video. I am going to go get my yarn right now and sit here and make many. Need a lot of things this time for Christmas. Lots of love from this old women. Lee
Thank you for this video. You did an awesome job. I understood clearly. Will be looking for Fiber Spider video for how to join these squares together - after I finish enough for a baby blanket!😊
Thank You! You explained this so well. I ran across these looms in my sewing basket and didn't know how to use them. Now with your tutorial I learned something new. Thanks again.
Thank you for demonstrating weaving on this loom. I’ve looked for a tutorial on this and couldn’t find one, until now. You did a fantastic job and you have a patient and soothing voice. Love that I can use my loom now.
I picked up a vintage 1945 Weave It at the thrift store and the numbers on the loom were too faded for me to figure it out. I got through steps one and two from the pictures provided in the instruction booklet, but got frustrated at step 3. This was super easy to follow! Thank you!
I think I just have to get a loom after this. I have no idea what I will do with the little squares but I am sure I will come up with something. Thank you for demonstrating the method for weaving. Love it.
Ever crochet a granny square and think of all the things you can make with them? Same difference 😊 Blankets, scarves, wraps, table runners, etc. If you can sew, you can add lining to bags and such. Lots of possibilities! 😉🕷🕸☕
I know this is an old tutorial, but I just found it and it's inspired me to make one of my own... thank you for the very clear instructions ❤️.... About the loose tails...I would just saw a small groove in the wood, like you have in the zoom loom...or use some masking tape to hold the loose threads down... cos this works on the cardboard loom method.... bless you for your effort!
I had to make mine out of thick foam and nails, its actually 7 different sizes in one but currently just using the second size, am fairly new to this type of looming and just last night tested by making the houndstooth pattern and it came out the way I expected beautiful, so am thinking of making a cardigan.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Just go a pin loom & wasn't sure if I did it correctly. Your directions were clear & I liked the hint about the tails. 😊
Thank you so much for this video!!! I just wove my first pin loom weaving along with you! I'm using a weave-it but can see how the Skipper Loom with fewer pins would be much faster. Thanks again! I'm hooked! :)
Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial on this loom. I was having a devil of a time trying to figure the wrapping out. The only thing I am doing differently is making a slip knot over the fist nail instead of doing the wrap like you suggest, only because it allows me to not have to concentrate on the tail of the yarn and if it gets loose. The slip knot will slide off the nail and then comes undone easily when finished.
Do you have other patterns for the pin loom? Houndstooth etc? I also have a Weavette 2” x 6” - I make bookmarks. Fun. Your tutorial is excellent. As always. ❤
hi Fiber Spider, do you find, being more pivy to your wood looms or your Schatz zoom loom more? i do love my zoom loom, however i do enjoy my 3 wood looms as well, i think i use all 4 equally! i even have a mini wood with nails! but i need to get new small mails on one of the corners. it fell off... from using them so much, they became loose. i wish i was good at wood working, I'd make more! hahaha!.. how long have you been weaving? and how'd you learn?
I found my grandma’s pin loom and was wondering how to use it. I found your video and it was loads helpful. My grandma’s loom has more pins than yours but you were a big help. Thank you 💕 Hers has an extra metal thingy with pins so you can make different sizes I’m thinking. Haven’t tried that yet. Lol It says “Loomette” on the metal piece
I've been doing potholder looms again for the last few months, and just came across this video. My wife is a fan so I put it on. Pin looms are a whole new world! I can't imagine trying to figure out this multi-pass warping by myself! I'm about 3/4 through, you just stepped away and are finishing last rows. What in wondering is what you do with these? So they work as coasters? Do you join several together to make something larger?
I stumbled upon this video last week and was captivated. Yesterday I received my 12" Blue Butterfly loom and am in the process of finishing my first square. (If you think about it as 9 4" squares It's not bad.) I want to thank you - without your instructions I would never have managed to go through all the steps. Are you going to get into the variations of pin loom weaving? Have you tried them? Thanks - drora.
Actually you can, there is another youtuber, Noreen crone findlay (spelling?) that does a lot of pain loom tutorials on the subject, also using pot holder looms as well 😉🕸🕷
I'm not sure I like the loom on the right. Too big of gap in corners. I have all vintage weave it's, loomettes, and even have a zoom loom. You're better off using a chunky yarn with that loom bc it shouldn't be see through after weaving.
I have followed your crochet videos for the last year and had no idea you had a pin loom tutorial! I gave up on it because the written instructions just weren’t cutting it. I feel inspired again! Thank you!

Great video, clear instructions, so nice without competing background music!

Thank you so much❣ You did an awesome job and your voice is so soothing and makes it so easy to follow along.
Thank you for the great demonstration. I’m a visual learner and you nailed it.😊

Great video. Thank you so much! Clear, easy to follow instructions!
So grateful for your instruction! I found out where I was going wrong by watching this video. Thanks so much! You rock!!
Thank You! You explained this so well. I ran across these looms in my sewing basket and didn't know how to use them. Now with your tutorial I learned something new. Thanks again.
Thank you for this! Such a great tutorial! So clear and easy to follow. I don't think you are a hot mess at ALL! You were wonderful!
Thank you for the clear simple instructions!
Thank you for making it easy to understand, I have an antique 2inch pin loom and could not follow the antique instructions. I appreciate your clarity.
Thank you for demonstrating weaving on this loom. I’ve looked for a tutorial on this and couldn’t find one, until now. You did a fantastic job and you have a patient and soothing voice. Love that I can use my loom now.

THANK YOU!!!! I have been searching for weeks for a good tutorial. You did a great job; I finally understand how to use my pin loom!!!

No apologies please. Excellent tutorial.
I just finished my first weaving on a weavette that I purchased back in 2001. It took forever but it was a great sucess.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Just go a pin loom & wasn't sure if I did it correctly. Your directions were clear & I liked the hint about the tails. 😊

what do you do with the string hanging out
Love this. Got mine last week. Can you do diagonal weaving with this?
Actually you can, there is another youtuber, Noreen crone findlay (spelling?) that does a lot of pain loom tutorials on the subject, also using pot holder looms as well 😉🕸🕷
