- It's a blistering hot day in Alabama and the Clay-Chalkville football team has assembled for the first practice of the summer. As everyone gathers in a tight circle for a pep talk from coaches, one player stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Coming in at 6-5 and weighing 200 pounds, Nico Collins is the state of Alabama's top overall recruit and one of the top receivers in the nation. A 5-star receiver and the type of athlete that makes the game look effortless, Collins appears to glide across the field ... and quite often into the end zone.
Off the field Collins is humble and quiet, preferring to lead by example.

I hate to see people comment that if he dont come to Bama dont let us see you type comments. I am sure he is well aware of Alabama and what we can offer but this young man will base his decision on his future, not what fans want in order to be happy. As he should. David Wardsworth Nick Saban is hated because he gives young men second chances. He's been judged for it several times but it has paid off for the kids and Alabama. These are still kids that need developing in all aspects of life; not just football. At Alabama Nick Saban will mold him into a respectable man.

Alabama lowered their SAT and ACT score requirements in order to recruit kids who don't have the type of grades to get into a college like Michigan. So if they don't measure up to the academic standards of UofM then I guess they can go to Alabama. That is one reason why they have gotten so many recruits.

I think this kid is going to Georgia. They have a strong need for a playmaking WR. Georgia already have the TE, excellent RBs, the only missing link is WR, and Kirby Smart is smart enough (no pun) to know that Nico Collins is the missing piece to make their young offense dynamic.
Love to see things like this, but all those catches I saw in this video were up against his body. I want to see how strong his hands are, how good they are.

Thats not true...As a receiver, you go somewhere where a QB and stable passing game will be. Thats not Alabama. As good as the Tide is, Hurts will probably never be a top passing qb, where as Michigan has the best qb coach in the lands in Harbaugh, as well as the top rated pocket passer coming in. Mix that with the degree and alumni relations and his future starts to look very Blue

Clemson is no doubt a great place for a wide receiver. Alabama is great for running backs, like Najee Harris, but mainly for defensive players.
Amari Cooper, Julio Jones, Aderius Stewart and Calvin Ridley will be high draft picks as well.
