Thank you for this interview, so many people go along with the ideology without actually understanding what the consequences are for both the transgender individuals and for the rest of society, I'm very grateful to people like posie parker and lawyer kara dansky for speaking up ❤

Small correction, men do in fact have (and need) estrogen but not as much as women. Men should always have less than 40 pg/ml of estradiol (a common estrogen) to be in the normal range per the American endocrinological association, IIRC. Women can go as low as the middle of male range at the beginning and end of their cycle, but there is only a little overlap during midcycle where the lowest normal value dips a pg/ml or two into the highest values of normal male range while the high normal female values are about 650 midcycle. As an intersex man, I get the 'fun' of naturally having normal male range T and normal female range E, so I can speak from experience that it can be a bit of a social inconvenience to have cross sex hormones, (my beard doesn't compliment my breasts very well, but at least the hip/waist ratio means I don't have to worry about losing my pants) and probably you shouldn't do that if you can reasonably avoid it, but hey, I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice.

"The truth will hurt, but never harm." The search for truth is age old. That was Pilate's question to Christ. Prayer, digging into the established moral teachings of the Church, and with so many of these issues, look at those who have regrets. Remember the devil cannot create so attacks humanity, from anti-life at every stage, the family which creates and protects life and the Church which protects and promotes the family. Keep your rosary at hand

I will always be Catholic and be faithful to the teachings of the church. But with so many arguments on both sides each with evidence supporting their point. How do I decide who to believe when I've grown to distrust both sides? It feels like everything is covered in lies, bigger agendas, power hungry individuals. I believe transgenderism is wrong. But I want to make sure that the information I get opposing it is solid and most importantly true. For example puberty blockers. If I search up if puberty blockers are reversable on Google, many articles from credible sources will tell me it's reversible. So who do I believe? You or these sources? And if I believe you, then are all of these sources collaborating to hide the truth? If thats the case then what sources can I trust? Why should I trust you or your sources? I don't say this to attack you or undermine your work but it is a genuine concern I have. I want the truth and nothing but the truth and I want us to win the culture war but I want to do it right and not by taking any cheap shots by exaggerated or omiting the truth just because it doesn't support our argument.

I am not able to put links here because it's the youtube comments but many progressive European countries are heavily restricting their use based on more robust longitudinal studies on the use of these drugs in minors. I highly recommend you look into these studies for more substantive information on why their use is not generally recommended, especially in children.
There is a unique and unsettling push for these intrusive medical interventions within the states and it's very eye opening to realize this view is not at all shared by other countries and for good reason. And again these are progressive countries we are talking about.
Additionally a question which should be asked before you wonder, "will these hormone treatments hurt the children prescribed them and will that hurt be permanent" would be "Can you definitively prove that these hormone treatments would even help the disphoria these children are experiencing" and there is plenty of data which suggests the long term effect of the hormone treatment on the disphoria is so minimal that it is not worth the risks (many of which are still being observed, recorded and researched) and other more effective treatments should be used first and foremost.
