Brother, thank You very much for video. I just opened my bmw 118i. At shop they asked me 80 eur to open. Didnt want to tell me what to do, they said bring the car and in 5 hours we will fix it. Thanks again. Respect.
Thanks ,I had tried every methods to open it after I tried to fix the mechanical inside.Maybe spring was not in proper position but I will wait until the new spare arrive first to open this stucked door😂😂
No, once you got the door open, you will need to replace the door lock actuator. Dealer is about 400 bucks and Amazon is about 90 if I remember correctly.
Hi i have an F10 2010 with a problem with rear nearside door.I have taken off the door card which was straight forward with door shut. Bolt under handle and then tugged really hard on the door card. Holding handle and also the side storage well.. Now i'm hoping this trick will work....Anyone can confirm this works well ??
Hello, I have the same issue but on drivers side. So i will try it tomorrow (finally will be not freezing outside) But with disconnected battery to avoid airback blowing :)
@@Kodiak727 i didnt used the pipe. I removed the driver seat, then the door panel completely and gently push the lever. You will have more space an you will be sure that you didnt damage anything under the panel :) Be sure to use WD40 afrerwards to spray the whole lock.

Have you hit the pipe very hard ? I dont wan damage the lock def.
The catcher is part of the actuator that needs to be replaced.

90k car and they can't figure out how to make they doors work... same problem with mine
