The "auto lock" function cannot be disabled. It enables itself every time you lock the door with the finger print or the app.

how can i use with alexa and What is the USB type C port that this knob has for?
you need to use it through the app.. the USB port is to hook up a power bank to it if you need to use the fingerprint just in case you don't have a key or batteries
one question do i have to be connected to the wifi to open the door with my app?lets just say if I'm not home i wanted to open the door can i ?
Your doorknob connects to your wifi and should be accessible from anywhere you have internet access
Do you have any updated thoughts? Do the batteries last a decent amount of time? Any issues with the app, adding users, reliability, etc?
We are looking to add these to our home bc we have a an intellectually disabled daughter requiring all of our interior doors to have locks & I spend sooooo much time a day unlocking/locking doors. Not keen on adding something that causes more of a headache or not work well though.

I have had this on our master bedroom door since this video and the batteries are still going strong.. we use it probably 20 times a day and we love it.. no more using the key to get into the bedroom but you can still use a key if you need to.. we don't use the app. pretty much only the time we used it was to add more fingerprints.. but it has been working great every since.. I recommend when you do set it up do both thumbs and 2 fingers .. just in case you are holding something in one hand or you have a bandaid or something :) I hope this helps.. I highly recommend this

I did the same thing with that one long screw. You have to take the plate off. But like you stated that’s a good idea for that screw insert. I see you have two screws I only had the one.
Seems much sturdier for sure.. I love this doorknob :) we put it on our bedroom door and it works amazingly well :)
What if u get stuck in a room without your phone and the lock locks on auto? Does it unlock by twisting the knob on the the inside? I want this on my bathroom but i dont want to bring my phone with me
Yes inside you can simply turn the handle no need for phone

Can u use more the one person for thumb print ?
yes! YOU can program up to 100 fingerprints I think.. I have 4 fingerprints registered on mine
I really want one of those but the finger print sensor could be a little faster
It is way faster than unlocking with a key.. I do not regret installing
And do it come with batteries?
I don't think it came with batteries.. I just use the amazon basics I think.. I have this installed on my bedroom door and my wife and i really like it.. very easy to use

For regular door knobs go to Home Depot and buy something call offset screwdriver or the ratcheting right angle multi bit screwdriver set. They are made specifically for door knobs
