Use wish pieces on 1 star cards, it'll give u a thingy on character rank for each one u do, and it only costs 1 wish piece and if u do all 5 for a character, that's 5 character rank points. Rank rewards for that reward crystals, music cards, uhhhh yeah, stuff:3 (Im so sorry i suck at explaining things)
also another thing with the event stories is that after completing the final part of a event story you also unlock more area conversations even on events that have already ended
