Sounds like a good solution to make a consistent round shape - not weird at all! You will be an expert with a little practice! Thanks for your comments and for watching my video!
I have used this format to make a pendant and added different beads and more wire wrapping, it came out quite well and I hung it on a figure of 8 chain
I like that ur so precise with the measurements, ur a very good teacher too. Spiral is my fave so I will defo be making these earrings in different colours of wires - I love earrings, lol.
Thank you for sharing. My husband and I were looking at your website last night. You are a genius. I would love to have a piece of your art , truly amazing very beautiful. I love your accent, I grew up in Johnson City, New York. Spent a lot of time in the city. I can't tell how much I miss it. I live in California now. Blessings to you, Deborah

Thank you for your kind comments! Just keep practicing - you will be surprised how much easier that will make it! Earrings are perfect preparation for the bigger projects. Have fun making them and thanks for watching! Let me know how you progress!
@vickientrekin Thanks for watching!! I used 20 gauge wire to make the earrings that you see in the video. 18 gauge would also work well. When I construct them is sterling silver, I use .035 sterling silver wire, round, soft. Hope you have fun making them!
Practice is the key. You may want to check my latest video - Spiral Hoop Necklace with Purple Beads when you think you're ready for more hoops. Thanks for watching!
Hi Sheila! 16 gauge can be used and DS sterling is quite bendable, although it will be more difficult to bend than 18 gauge. Also, if you use a wooden bead, you might need to enlarge the hole so it fits the 16 gauge wire. Regarding pliers, Valor is a good brand at a lower price. Thanks for commenting!
@mortadelletube Definitely experiment with alternatives to the coil. Think of my video demonstrations as departure points for you to explore your creative ideas. Thanks for watching, and for your great observation!!
I am from NY, and you are better off using the tools that you see in my video. These make it easiest to construct the earrings. Good luck - and have fun making them!
Hi Suzanne - I always work in sterling silver for any earrings that will be worn. Nickel silver is for demonstration and practice. What I do for my sterling silver earrings that have a glass bead is tumble them to establish their polish. Occasionally I'll use a silver polish that can be purchased in most supermarkets. For nickel silver, I never worry about any tarnishing and just leave the metal alone.

@dezmireanucristinac
Thanks!
For example, couldn't you use a long bead of sorts instead of the coil? I think it'd work. It'd be really pretty too.
How do you keep your mixed metal or base metals from discoloring? Is there a preparation that works well before they tarnish or loss the color?
Hello and thanks for the creative design and great vid. My flush cutters suck - what brand do you use?
