Idea for a nerf that wouldn’t completely kill the card: Maybe make it so that the damage the bomb does depends on how far things are away from it. This way it’s less devastating for players when the bomb barely hits the tower, yet still rewarding for the person who played the giant skelly.
I mean, yeah it's powerful right now but I'd maybe reduce DPS a little or make his hit speed slower with a damage nerf. The bomb getting to the tower has always been one of the quirky perks of GS and it would kind of kill the card to not let that happen anymore. Maybe even a small speed nerf would've been better imo.
Yeah exactly. The giant skele was meant to be a lane clogger into counter push card because of its death bomb and hp. Somehow it turned into a card with golem health and mini pekka damage. Just make it tanky but deal less damage, it just has way too much going for it rn. I don’t understand why they didn’t keep its purpose (health and bomb damage) and just change the damage or hit speed, they always balance cards in the dumbest possible way

I disagree. I use the giant skeleton and he has no right to do that much fucking tower damage. Especially when you face a giant skeleton clone and the clone pushes the main giant skeleton (mass is broken too).

I think it should also get a hitspeed nerf but keep the DPS the same so swarms counter it better. But honestly needed a bigger nerf in general including a mass nerf

No way they're making mirror unusable again. Fireball and log hover around a 30-40% use rate for years and they don't care, but mirror gets a quarter of that for a couple weeks and everyone goes crazy.
Honestly i dont think the nerf is too crazy. The giant skelly is pretty strong when it does lock onto the tower but honestly excels much more in defense. Long as the bomb obliterates enemy troops its fine

A bit strange that you got number 1 finish when EQ is weaker compared to when it was strong, do you think giant skeleton helped a lot more or would old EQ be better?
It will still be viable since mid ladder has shit tons of mks e barbs and stuff. But you should play pretty well since the decks r generally unexpectable that they can pull out lumberloon opp lane while you r not expecting or giant minion horde kind of pushes. New mortar hog eq variant is probably a better deck for mid ladder. For 6.6k-7k gs hog will still be viable if you dont use gs as a win condition
Giant skeleton is way to overpowered. It is very hard to kill and it’s death bomb clears the whole lane. I don’t have a issue with high skill cards being OP but not ones you just plonk down and it auto clears out everything. That being said I’m glad for once they have only made it a minor nerf. Normally they have a habit of completely liking cards off.

I seriously don’t understand how rocket hasn’t received a nerf yet. It only takes 7 rockets to take out a tower. You can hit a sparky and the tower for an even elixir trade and 1/7th of the towers hp… like bruh. Broken ass card

The main point is that its 1/7th of the tower gone to something that's not even preventable, and the fact that you can do ~1200 damage with 15 elixir within a couple of seconds because of the champion 3 card cycle is just ridiculous. Also the, "it takes timing or you can lose the game" argument can be made for every single card. Sure a rocket costs more but it's not a "high risk high reward" type of interaction, it's really not that difficult to hit a rocket

The buildings are too strong, broken, along with a couple ranged troops like the dart goblin and archer queen. If you can’t push past the building or the ranged unit, they can simply cycle rockets and there isn’t anything you can do about it. Inferno has zero counter play and wins every single interaction in the game when placed properly. Cannon stops all air cards for positive trade. Tombstone is too useful.
