My brother said he wish he could thank the guy his exwife cheated with because his new wife is so much better and fun to be around in tune with his personality. And he feels genuinely loved. He felt like his ex just tolerated him being around. Of course his ex's lover dumped her as soon as he got a full dose of her personality. According to his son she's still seething and bitter when she hears what a good life they're living 15yr later.
Similar thing happened to me. Ex cheated and we split. Everything was hard with my ex. I had to handle everything as she couldn't cope or even support me as I took on more and more burdens. Now me and my amazing wife support each other.

The ex seems to have a weak character. She's insecure and immature and rather believe in another guy than her boyfriend assuming that they're already been in a relationship for a long time. She has to blame the MC for not trying to explain things to her when in fact he did and take accountability for her actions for breaking the relationship.
If someone believes someone else's lie so that they can be with that person then the person that you was seeing didn't really love you to begin with and was only using you for their own gain. It is always best to find someone that is truly meant for you that won't believe in the lies that they are told.

It's really interesting. You know, sometimes when it comes to the flaws of the people, we're dating if there are sort of minor things you can't help us see them as cute like how he said, he saw the fact that she was jealous and a bit needy sort of cute in a way. Frankly, if my partner was like that I would also see that behavior is sort of cute. But as you break up, you start to realize that being around that person can be a bit taxing and exhausting. Sure, he was heartbroken by the breakup. But after a while he started to realize that frankly being with her was a bit of a trouble because of how high maintenance she was for attention.
And I would also like to save this just because your partner is overseas or doing anything for their job does not give you an excuse to cheat. If you're so lonely then I don't know use your vacation days, Go overseas and follow them for like a week and then just wait till they come back. It's not that difficult. And he was only gonna be there for 3 months She could have like taken a vacation for maybe a week and gone over there.
