No I was thinking the same thing watching this again. The only person I've even seen who's kind of pulling on his coat tails a little bit is Carl Wockner and Carl has cited him as an influence.
@@gerimayawhyte154 and then even with his crazy skill with the loop pedal he sits down at a piano and writes a simple epic love song like "Stay With Me." He really can do anything.

Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album for the 2015 Grammys, it is clear Bernhoft is one watch.
With so much music that is just worthless these days (Nope. I'm not gonna say what I think is worthless) to hear this really is an eye opener. This is a man who cares about his craft. It's funky, soulful, and in the pocket all at once. I'm 56 years old. I've been a musician since I was 10. Takes a lot to impress me these days. This guy is great.
Just saw him live earlier tonight. Not only does he put on a kick-ass show (his vocals...they're just...wow), but he stayed afterward to hang out and sign CD's and whatnot. Both an incredible artist as well as a great person. Can't wait to hear his new album coming out in May!

He's playing an EKO guitar! I had a Ranger XII (twelve string) EKO back in the late 60s and throughout the 70s. Fun beast.
This is NOT my style of music, but it's pretty impossible to deny the guy is one HELL of a talented artist. Great stuff. Love the inventiveness and the rhythm he's feeling. Simply awesome. He's like an "R&B and male version of Imogen Heap". In fact I'd LOVE to hear them do something together cause between the two of them, they both take looper composition to another level. Rock on you crazy man ROCK ON!!!
I also wonder if non-musicians have ANY idea how hard it is to get loopers to be this dialed and in sync??? I prefer the TC Ele. FBX4 but for this kind of heavy solo overlay work, the RC3 is SO much better then say the Line-6 junk that everyone seems to go to (yes, I had one, it broke a LOT before I got the Flashback X4 which is MUCH better IMO).
I think this is everyone's style of music :-)

The loops have nothing to do with sining you own back ups.... in key and in time and in rounds..👾👾👾 full ranges........not auto tune......

I think that if someone nails his songs on a looper, that'll be equivalent of graduating with honors from a top tier looper school lol. The complexity of what he does is pretty intense. He commands respect. plus those vocals, jaw dropping combination of talent and hardwork.
