Fun fact: "We Go Up" came out in 2018 and it was originally meant to be Mark's NCT-Dream graduation song. As you might have noticed, he is kind of highlighted in this MV and a lot of the MV looks like the members are just hanging out and partying, etc. Some of the scenes in the MV are actually the members just celebrating Mark's last MV with the NCT-Dream members and the members saying goodbye to him as their leader, etc. That's why this song and MV is full of feels.
Mark is the oldest member of NCT-Dream and he had recently turned 19 right before this comeback, so that is why this was a graduation celebration.
Because "Boom" came out in 2019 there were only 6 members in NCT-Dream. Mark had "graduated" from NCT-Dream and he was no longer included in NCT-Dream activities. However, Heechan, who also is a member of NCT-127, was just recovering from an injury, as well as promoting as a member of NCT-127 in the U.S. at this time, so he was only able to participate in part of the MV. That's why you only see all 6 of them at the end. In the beginning of the MV there was only 5 members, but by the end there are a few scenes with all 6 members.
The whole point of "Boom" is to show how much the Dream members have grown and matured, etc.
I always find it funny that Jisung, who is the maknae of NCT, is the member who is the tallest and the one with the deepest voice. "Boom" is where we see Jisung turn from a boy into a young man.
As you may know, NCT-Dream is NCT's third sub-unit, which began in August 2016, and it is made up of all the youngest members of NCT, All the Dream member's are currently between the ages of 18 and 21 years old -- they were 16-19 in this MV -- and they were 14-17 when they debuted. SM originally created this sub-unit with the idea that If they had a trainee that they felt was ready to debut even though they were really young, they would start out as a member of NCT-Dream. They were the cute babies of the group who were learning the ropes and honing their skills because they are young, but they are also some of the most talented because they debuted way sooner than a lot of trainees. The way NCT-Dream originally was designed to work was that the members were part of the group until they turn 19 and become an adult. SM's original plan was that when the members turned 19 they were supposed to graduate from the group and they are no longer considered a member of NCT-Dream. Besides Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin and RenJun -- who are all older than 19 -- we thought would be graduating sometime last year. (Which would have left NCT-Dream with only 2 members, with the idea that new trainees would probably debut sometime last year and become members of NCT-Dream.) However, SM announced at the beginning of 2020 that they decided to make NCT-Dream a permanent group and suspend the whole "graduation" concept, including putting Mark back in the group.
So, when the group debuted, and currently, NCT-Dream was/is a 7 member group, but between 2018 until close to the end of 2020, you will see Dream with only 6 members. Even after SM announced the reintroduction of Mark as part of the group, Dream had a few comebacks without Mark, because he was busy promoting with NCT-127 and SuperM. (Mark is one of the busiest members of NCT because he participates in almost every project that NCT has ever done since pre-debut SMRookie Days, as well as several solo collaboration projects with other SM artists, and now as a member of SuperM. Some say Mark is SM's favorite NCT member.)
Lol It's Haechan that you've completemented in every NCT song he's appeared in. And since he's one of the members who's in 2 fixed units, he's in a lot of songs and is probably one of the members you've heard the most of so far. xD

Yess more NCT Dream! "We Go Up" is my favorite title track of theirs, it's so fun and energetic and I love the switch ups. Boom is an anthem for sure lol and the voice you always love is HAECHAN. Real name Lee Donghyuck and also in NCT 127. He has a beautifully unique voice and is a FANTASTIC dancer, one of my favorites.

5:30 it's ok~ keep commenting about his beautiful voice! He's Haechan (hay-chan) and is in 127 too. Since he and Mark are in both groups, you'll see in a lot of shows (and in BOOM mv) that sometimes dreamies promote as 5 instead because Mark and Haechan are promoting or touring with 127. (Mark had "graduated" from dream at the end of 2018, so 2019 (Boom) and 2020 (Ridin') promotions don't have Mark in them. But at the end of 2020, SM removed the graduation system, so they put Mark back for NCT2020 promotions and he was in "Deja Vu" with the rest of the dreamies).
5:38's voice is Jisung (jee - sung) the maknae/youngest of the group born 2002.

'We Go Up' was a really emotional song for NCTzens. At the time NCT Dream was still on a graduation schedule where members that became adults would leave Dream. So, this was the last comeback Mark would participate in and so we were very in our feels. Happily, SM got rid of that graduation thing and 7 Dream is real.

Dream!!! Really, their discography is amazing and they are also really unpredictable in term of title tracks (you never know what they will do next).
They can basically do everything.
The other one you liked voice wise (I won't mentioned Haechan because you probably already know by know who is the guy with the voice you like in every single NCT 127 and Dream songs) is Jisung with is deep and sweet voice.
As Jisung is the youngest, his voice changed a lot compared to his first years within NCT DREAM. The first time we really realised his voice changed and went deep was during the collaboration song between NCT Dream with Hrvy and it was like a quick reality check (aka a big slap in everyone face).
We Boom (album with the title track Boom) was released something like a month later.
Since then Jisung got some singing moment in Dream but I really wished his voice was more used in the Resonance album. He has a very interesting tone, yet they really had a lot of difficulties to use it for that album even if he was in more songs than some members.
I can't wait to see what Dream will have in store for us this month! This will be their first comeback in more than a year so I hope we will have a lot of songs this time. It's really hard to wait nearly a year with not even 5 songs...

Dream is so fun I’m glad they are letting their concept grow more since they are getting older it makes sense how their music has progressed over the years from songs like Chewing Gum funny they aren’t babies anymore but they are always still babies for me 🥰 it’s really the only NCT subgroup I’ve followed consistently since they debuted I like the others songs/groups but just as of now not fully got into them like I did with other groups like EXO and SHINee

Two of my favorites! Anytime someone enjoys the Dreamies, I feel like such a proud big sis because they are only a couple years younger than me. Other than Haechan, you also said you liked Jisungie's voice and Renjun was the one hitting the high note.
