the english version of regular is much more of a "flex" than the kor; while it's still flaunting money, the kor version is a lot more about working to get to the top rather than just flexing about being at the top. still, i kinda like the eng ver more because it dropped first and its so damn catchy
And if you think about it regular english version is on the dream part of the album, I remember mark saying that Regular-Irregular was like a movie, the first part it's about the reality and the second like a dream, so they working to get to the top in the reality and they just swimming in money on the dream part makes sense
I'm telling you, the true goldmine of NCT127 music is on their B-sides like "Highway to Heaven", NCT 127 title tracks are very hype and "noisy" because that's their style but there's so much on their B-sides that's just amazing to hear like "No Longer" "Baby don't like it" "Back to U"

Fun fact there are 3 versions of Regular. The Korean version, English version from 127. AND WayV's debut was with a Chinese version! Which in my opinion the WayV version is the best one.
Also Winwin from WayV, used to be in NCT 127 before his debut with WayV, was in ALL 3 VERSIONS! King!

According to Mark when NCT127 completed the "Try Not To Sing Along Challenge" with FBE, Mark revealed that he had to tame the tiger that was shown in the video. He also shared that he had been raising it ever since it was a baby. He was super happy that he got to include it in the music video. Hope this helps!

4:45 Yes that is the same guy that was wearing a suit with nothing underneath in kick it. His name is Jaehyun , he is considered one of the top visuals and has even been complemented by other idols on his looks. Plus he has a very nice voice as well , I would recommend u check out nct u timeless and without you both these songs show the beautiful vocals of Jaehyun, Taeil and Doyoung.
Also fun fact he call speak pretty good English cause he lived in America for years that why he's here man ! (sorry I just had to lol).

There are actually 3 versions of regular. The english and korean versions are by 127 (2018). The chinese version served as the debut song for WayV in 2019. I hope you react to the chinese version by WayV too

highway to heaven is a bside and yes, i like their bsides better than their title tracks so I really recommend:

the regular lyrics are about what they dream to achieve (fame, wealth etc.). the korean version's lyrics are about the hard work it takes to get to that dream. its like dreams vs reality (dreams are actually nct's overall concept), so its a little more meaningful than just a flex haha they were also not actually super rich at the time regular came out, they were just starting to get big :)

Highway to Heaven is my favourite 127 song with a music video. From the filming to the vocals to the choreography, all of it is soooo good!! As much as I went ummmm??? for the Regular lyrics, I really loved the choreography

Everytime vocal expert react to their songs, they always notice Haechan vocals and as a Sunflower im really proud that he is my bias
Now that you have heard the English version of "Regular," you should also check out the Korean version (The MV is slightly different from the English version because the lyrics are different.) and WayV's Mandarin version. And once you have done that, you should then look up the lyrics to all 3. If you look up the English translation of the lyrics for the Korean and Mandarin versions and compare them to the English version you will see that even though it's the same beat and the same title, the lyrics are different for all 3 songs.
The tiger isn't real, it's CGI. They did a pretty good job of making it look real, but if you look closely you will see it's computer generated. Like everything NCT does, it all has to do with some aspect of a dream. It is all things that people would dream are possible when they have all the fame and fortune in the world. I think it's supposed to be like they are characters within a crazy dream world. The lyrics are metaphors for what it is like being rich using American slang terms often heard in hip-hop culture.
Fun fact: For "Regular" Jongwoo has officially became a member of NCT-127, so now there are 10 members in NCT-127.
Plus, WinWin is the only member who is in all 3 versions of "Regular" because he is a member of both NCT-127 and WayV. Ten isn't a member of NCT-127, he debuted as an original member of NCT-U and WayV. The member who has the bow and arrow is Johnny, who, you are right, was the one who showed his chest off in "Kick It" and was the one driving in "Highway to Heaven". Johnny is Korean-American from Chicago.
If you look up the lyrics for the Korean version you will discover that the lyrics for the English version of "Regular" is almost opposite of what they are talking about in the Korean version. That's why the album is called Regular Irregular. The English version is what I would describe as the cocky version of the song and it hits on the aesthetic of what appeals more to an American audience. The English version talks about being famous and having lots of money and still not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame. "Regular" is supposed to be NCT-127's U.S. debut so that is why they made an English version.
However, the Korean version is what I would call the humble version of the song. The Korean lyrics talk about how they are constantly working hard and are never satisfied with the end result and how they hope to have the success that they always dream of, etc. -- which is what appeals more to a Korean audience.
The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well.
You should really take the time to see what makes the 3 versions so different, besides the fact that they are in 3 different languages. :D It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D
Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and at that time they couldn't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they might be working with their Korean company if they want to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China, they had to appear as if they were a Chinese group and are separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.
Yes, you have to see the dance practices. The English version dance practice was filmed at Millenium dance studios while they were in L.A. on their North American promotional tour. You definitely need to see the choreography better. And just so you know, WayV also has a dance practice for their version of "Regular."
"Highway to Heaven" was filmed in California or Las Vegas during NCT-127's North American concert tour in 2019, and they also performed this song in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade while they were in New York during that same tour. It's another one of their English songs created to be a part of their U.S. promotions.

Also the lyrics for Regular Eng ver. uses a lot of AAVE (african american vernacular english) and urban slang so it’s not a surprise that a lot of non black fans question the lyrics. They started off with a more cuter and innocent concept but have transitioned to a more mature concept during recent years. They're also releasing their second studio album on the 5th in april. So please check them out, their vocals are very unappreciated imo.
Red hair, Yes that is Taeil, vocal king! He is the one doing most of the "Oh"s after the Taeyong and Mark's rap section, which is my favorite part of the song the bridge and final chorus.

Yay! Great song choices, they're epic. I love Regular's merengue/salsa type instrumental and the whole latin vibe around it (also i'm latino and i love when NCT speaks or sing bits in spanish), and "Highway to Heaven" is just the perfect pop song. Red hair guy that you mentioned, is Yuta, the Japanese prince of NCT lol and the other atractive guys you mentioned are Jaehyun and Johhny.

Highway to Heaven is such a chill masterpiece and Regular is ICONIC our flex kings! NCT is really good at making English songs, they can pull of any style tbh they're so flexible and talented.

It's normal to notice all the visuals of the group (though all of them are too) but you'll notice in jacket photoshoots or their positions on stage that Taeyong is always center, but Jaehyun and Yuta will always be right next to him to the left and right (with Mark sometimes next to Yuta or Jaehyun). That's Jung Jaehyun thr suit guy in kick it and you got him right at first. He is handsome, hot, has very calm aura, honey voice and very competitive and the one who got me into nct universe. I fell for him immediately when he was playing bowling in idols athletic championship or whatever program 🤣 he just has that aura around him, i can't explain.
