Some in laws are demons in human form.my sis in law once told me she and her mum are the one's making decisions over my marriage, meanwhi her own husband had long walked out on her, but she is busy " building her father's home" . Only the power and protection of God has kept me.Luos are the worst, they feel jealous when you are living together in peace.
A broke friend married a wealthy daddy's girl, there was never peace in that home. The lady's father would insist on the highest standards for her daughter even regularly changing her V8 cars while the man was just an underpaid banker driving a second-hand Toyota NZE. My guy nearly died of depression because he simply had no say despite being humble and hardworking. While the lady understood him, the father couldn't have none of it. The marriage barely lasted only 2 years.

Benjamin I've seen a close family member move back to his in laws home for one year because of job loss. It depends on the relationship you've with your in laws. If you've no option you can go back to your in laws.

I have experience interring mother in law when she was just visiting or she on the telephone 24/7/. In the end I gave my husband an ultimatum, his mother or his marriage!!
