This song proves his diversity as a vocalist, he is known for his high register as he is a tenor. But it is very rare for a tenor espically adam who has had classical countertenor training to be so adept in his lowe register. Truley gifted Adam is at singing, like him or hate him its not my opinion, cos far as ive concerned I dont think their is a singer alive today who is even in the same world as Lambert when it comes to vocals. When god took Michael Jackson, they gave the world Adam.

Here, Adam stays within 'Tenor' pitch for most of the song which is more in line with other male vocalists who can only sing within their one octave pitch. As a fan, I appreciate both Lambert's Tenor and Contralto pitch, along with his bridge all the way up to 'High Head' mezzo-soprano falsetto. Adam does not scream these notes...he actually hits them which makes him so remarkable!

I recorded Adam on this demo in 2006 at my home studio, Blue Ribbon Studios. Producer and writers Jeff and Jordan were referred to me by former roomate. Adam is an amazing vocal talent. No pitch correction was used. For all the recording nerds, I believe I used a AGK 414 TL2, through a Demeter H series tube preamp, into an blackface 1176, Apogee A/D 16-X, in to Logic. Mixed the vocals against provided 2 mix. Very proud of you Adam! Rock on.

I love the variation Adam gave us every week on Idol. With song choices and being polite and not answering back, thanking the band, etc. All part of his strategy to win people's hearts and votes. Even in his audition, he sang Bohemian Rhapsody, like he did not know it was Simon's favorite song. He's also well-behaved on stage when not singing. Others are too hyper like Allison, Megan, Danny.
