She did her best, and it was a great and intense show. That's all that matters to me. I don't expect anyone to sing perfectly for almost 3 hours in one go anyway.
The best bands are always better live then in studio. Just look at Judas Priest, exactly the samething. Bad bands however are better in studio and the worst live.
everybody complains about Simone's vocals, I think she sounded pretty good, her lyrical voice had not been this strong in years, and that chorus in the end is probably her best interpretation. She sang really really well the whole concert
its unbelievable how true artist put time and effort to perfect music for their well appreciated audience, on the other hand pop music people like rick ross and Wayne spit out some shit and they call music, yet they get all the money and fame.. Hail to Metal and its respectful fans... \m/
I love bands like Epica so much because they themselves aren't just good; they embody what I love so much about Eurometal in general, it has this dignified culture to it that you just don't see (or hear) at shows in America headlined by A7X, Slipknot, and whoever else is still around from 2004. Beautiful.
Once I fell asleep while listening to Epica with my earphones on and I remember suddenly waking up at 5:30. I swear it was a transcendental experience, I felt like my whole body was vulnerable to absorb the greatness of this song.
Queen of symphonic metal will always be Tarja. But simone is the best choice for such complex music as epica's. No one else could've completed the band like she does.
This makes my cry. It's too epic and wells me up every fucking time! The true power of music always had a physical effect...3 levels, neck hair stands - neck and arm hair stands and shivers go down to my legs and itches them like crazy, then the final is gurning like q baby...this tune leaves me an itchy legged bubbling mess 😂
@@comegetjoe I used to think that the ''pregnancy glow'' was a myth but it does exist. I have never looked as good as when I was pregnant with my son. Hair and skin was in excellent condition. This profile pic is my pregnant one and its the only one I show people because its literally my only flattering photo. All the others are too embarrassing

I don't realy know if they are the best or second best symphonic band there is BUT.....what they deliever to my ears is the absolute best!I was looking for that kind of music and they produce what i have in my mind as symphonic metal....thank you Epica!

This show was recorded on April 2013, if I rembember correctly, she gave birth around October 2013..so she would have been around 3 months pregnant. The baby bump is not actually really visible, but with some dresses she was wearing it's clearer *_*
El sonido es perfecto. Pero las cámaras dejan mucho que desear, lo mismo la iluminación. Después de ver este vídeo uno queda casi ciego. A la banda apenas se la ve de tantos haces de luz cegadora. Y casi nunca enfocan directamente a Simone como al resto. Aparecen a un costado y encima cortados. Creo que ni los camarógrafos podían ver con claridad debido a tanta luz excesiva.

I think Simone has improved over time. This is a really good performance. IMO.
They all have. They always had the creative genius inside. But performing that epic music flawlessly, that's something they've mastered over time.
