thanks for sharing I had a similar experience locally. i was told they didn’t have any bags. i met a lady in line that got one. when i told the SA the manager told me they had something I was all of a sudden offered an Evelyn. no company is worth this kind of game. Hermes should remember people have to want their products in order for them to be exclusive
Yeah I really don't like some of their practices and a lot of it comes down to the SA and luck🥲
Thanks for sharing your experience dear. Sorry to hear what happened but I frankly had very similar experiences too. I have gotten a couple experiences after trying hundreds of times to sign up for the lottery appointment, and once did similar thing as you to travel from near by country to Paris just for the appointment only to be extremely disappointed. And now I would frankly never do it again (never going to Paris just to try to get a bag), I really agree with you on how the leather appointment is honestly not as good as what people make it sound like. And realistically majority of the people will most likely not be offered their dream bags. It is a bit frustrating when we see a bunch of people sharing how easy it is for them to score quota bags once they get an appointment when it's frankly not the reality for most people. Anyways, thank you for sharing your experience and congrats on the goodies you did mange to score though! :) love the constance and roulis slims!

Hermes SAs do size up people the moment they enter. Given the notoriety of reselling bags in Asia, yeah …there’s a bit of profiling going on. I didn’t have trouble at Hermes FSH probably because I was carrying a kelly in one of Hermes’ discontinued leather. The leather appointment SA was enthusiastic about my old bag - that probably got me a quota offer.
Oh wow that's amazing! I knew the profiling might be an issue which is why I wore the mini Lindy that's on my French profile to hopefully show that I'm not a reseller... guess it didn't work 🥲

Thank you! I'm really appreciative of him to have gotten thru to paris 😂 For the first leg of my paris trip I stayed at park hyatt vedonme which is about 8min to FSH. The second leg I stayed a Prince De Galle which is right across the street from George V store.
Thanks for posting your experience. As an American who used to live in France, I can say there is a big problem with racism in France. I had a friend who was of Asian descent from the US as well, and I'm white, we both spoke French well. She always got worse treatment than me at stores and restaurants and always had a harder time getting an apartment than I did. I'm not saying that that SA was necessarily racist but...
Hi, I’ve had very similar experience on my leather appointment at Sevres store, I was told straight away that there is no bags and I’ve seen people going to private rooms and leaving with boxes for birkin and kellys. I was offered only mini evelyne and pictotin 18 which I declined. So sorry I didn’t get your dream bag 😢

The SA was ghosting you over your purchase of the belt bag. It was her way of winning the argument over it being considered a leather/quota bag
That's a possibility... i think it depends on the SA. When I purchased the belt bag they told me it wouldn't play a factor, and I've also seen people purchase quota + non quota in one purchase.
Hey girl I’m sorry for your experience. People only talk about their Paris Birkin successes so after watching your video I will be a little more realistic regarding my expectations. Going to Paris this summer, fingers crossed I guess.

No I got it as a walk in
Could it also be a spent amount diffence between you and other leather appointment?
I think in the past purchase history doesnt impact your chances of getting a quota at FSH but it's playing a bigger role now. I've also seen people purchase quotas without prespend at FSH leather appointment ... so I think it really depends on the SA you're assigned
Oh my. That was a very unfortunate experience. That is rather stunning to be treated like that after all you had done. I hope the rest of your trip made up for that incident.

What is the cross body bag called?
The tan one is called "in the loop" and gray is "bolide" they're both crossbody
How much was the alligator and did you get anything in Amsterdam? Did they have any any bags?
I didn't purchase any exotic skin products. At the time the Amsterdam store didn't have any bags

I am sorry to say this but I do think the French are a bit racist and the SA was probably profiling you and thinking you were a reseller. It’s really sad after all your efforts to be treated like this. Please do not be put off. Next time you will probably get a lovely SA. You did get some lovely things on your trip.
I don’t know Why people are still buying from Hermes so many bad experiences…it’s a leather bag folks ….so many beautiful leather hand made bags out there from other brands …… that are not Hermes Chanel LV or YSL …
They had the bags. They just didn’t have them for you.
