Nepal is such a warm and welcoming place. I am just getting home to canada after several weeks of travelling in nepal and I'm already missing the abundance of dal bhat. I will do my best to replicate this with the ingredients I have available. Thank you for the English subtitles =)
I still miss dal bhat, and I was in Nepal 40 years ago! I must have eaten it 50 times, prepared by 50 different Nepalese women. It was always a little different, and always wonderful. I so wish it was a little easier to prepare because could seriously live on the stuff.

Krisha S I get the feeling that you have this thought because of some rather nasty comments from Nepalese people but I assure you that they're a vocal minority. Nepalese people don't hate Indian people but are kinda skeptical about the Indian government ever since the blockade incident, and even that is slowly changing over time. And I don't really speak for everyone but the people I know appreciate both the Chinese and Indians. Regardless there will always be some issues with our neighbours no matter how close we are and I don't think dwelling on them would do anyone any good.
Hi, I will try tomoroww cause I have some friends at dinner. I have just coming back from Nepal last week 😊 we are 8! Do I just double the amount? I am not cooking meat because me and others are vegetarian so may be more rice and dhal...... I miss some ingredients like asans and fenugreek, but have most of them
The best thing you said was Harek ghar maa aafnai kisim ko Nepali khana banne gardaxa. So true!! They don't follow a particular recipe & can adjust their recipe with the ingredients/things available in home.
Ramesh Shah Our cuisine always include vegetables and lentils which are good for overall health.The spices, vegetable oil contain healthy qualities as well. We just need to be careful about the quantity we consume.So, undoubtedly our Nepali foods are balanced and healthy.
