Brilliant again Sam. Beautiful Scotland doesn't fail to impress. Will have to sample the cottage.

Thanks Dave. The place where the house is just keeps getting better the more I discover in the area. Love it !!

Eileen Donan Castle is a place I've always wanted to visit after watching the film Highlander. It would be more accessible from Drumnadrochit. Enjoy.

Will have to see what is available that i can plan for. Will probably be a car based trip and see about cycling after that. Looks so peaceful.

Some hand warmers would have saved your hands they sell them in Yorkshire trading and sainsburys

I do actually have warmer gloves than what I wore. I just didnt expect it to be so cold. The thing is with those e bikes is that you are always moving a bit quicker than a normal cycle and actually get a bit of a wind chill factor like on a motor bike. Keeps you nice and cool in summer but bloody cold in witer. lol!!

Glad you are enjoying your move to Scotland. I've never cycled this area before. Looks like it might be ok for gravel bike, I run 47mm tyres. Would be interested to know your thoughts. Thank you.

The bit I cycled was definitely good for a gravel bike. From what i understand though the bit around the Youth Hostel is more single track for about 3-4 miles and not good for gravel bikes. I have now organised a circular trip in June, to go from Drumnadrochit along the Affric Kintail way, back to Fort Augustas and then back on the Great Glen Way. I will be doing a full video of this and will also give you the full details of the state of the track when we have completed it. Thanks for your comments :-)

@@SimplyCyclingtoursandrides Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. I was thinking of taking the trail you took on the south side of Beinn a Mheadhoin as far as the west side on the loch (waterfalls there and picnic area?) then back along the road on the north side.
Sounds like a great trip you have planned in June. Will watch out for your video with interest! All the best 😊
