I absolutely love this album, Queen of the Murder Scene and Dull Knives are 2 of my all-time favorite songs from The Warning. The music world is truly blessed to have these 3 young women contributing to our music entertainment. I hope they are around making music for many years to come.
You have an amazing way of telling the truth about uncomfortable subjects. QOTMS puts a spot light on mental illness, stalking, and suicide, don't ever be sorry for showing the truth through art. Just keep speaking from the heart and what you see. If the three of you are a great example of your Generation, I have a lot of hope for the future. Keep Rocking ladies!👍❤🤘
I have now listened to all these vlogs about this album. I have never been around people who write music and so I find the descriptions of your writing process fascinating. Also, I greatly admire that you admit some parts of the songs are difficult to play or sing yet you didn't change them to make them easier. This gives me even higher respect for you as musicians.
Base = Foundation. Probably the word Paulina was seeking. Funny that base and bass are pronounced the same, and some people misspell bass as base and Ale's bassline as baseline. A baseline is in baseball! And to add to the confusion, there's the fish, the bass (pronounced differently).
This is he first time I found these vlogs, and have been really enjoying them, learning more about the band from the band’s perspective it really interesting! I just came across The Warning on TH-cam a few months ago, and instantly started my way deep down the rabbit hole. When I learned about and then listened to this album several times, I started getting different interpretations of it and started getting more of an understanding of it. This vlog was posted years ago so this may sound redundant and may be something that was already noticed by everyone by now, but I had already picked up on the idea of the story repeating itself before watching this. Not only does it say “start again” in the last and first songs, there are other hints of that being the case. ‘The End’ also has the line “like a constant loop inside my mind” and “stars always seem to fade”, and ‘Dull Knives’ says, “I found out dull knives cut better”, all of which imply that not only has she gone through through the experience but that she has gone through it multiple times, and she’s aware that this is going through her head over and over again and can’t get rid of it. I picture her curled up in her bedroom or in a bed of a psychiatric ward just wishing it would go away it it never does. Whether or not she actually committed the murder or not is actually irrelevant in this story because it focuses on what she is experiencing in her mind, which really makes the main character in the story a very sympathetic character, whether she actually committed the murder or not. On a side note, I love the use of the word “Korisoo” (sp?). Even before finding out what it meant, melodically and rhythmically it just fits so perfectly. Once I found out what it translates to, it just fits the story so perfectly. A stroke of absolute genius!
all 3 of you are stunning, pretty and wonderful! keep rocking.... They are all genius, Ale talks brilliant too. Now I can see, they are talking about tempo and notes, and their rock music are conglomerations of different styles and their genius put together there you go you produce modern rock music. Indeed you are all lovable in the world!
You Girls are making lyrics so good it's disturbing. I love EVERY TRACK on QOTMS. But imagine if the Warning produced this album in 80s ... nobody would believe these songs were created by 3 sweet normal girls from a loving family. Priests would preach against this album and politicians would say that the Warning is a dangerous band 😁 I love this band ❤

Years ago I heard Paul Simon talking over one of his songs (Graceland, I think) where he explained the images and inspiration and meaning of what was in the song. I absolutely loved that and wished that was available for more music... and here are you giving me that!! Thank you. Can you imagine if we could go back and watch vlog equivalents from the 70s of Pink Floyd talking about the layers and inspiration for The Wall in this kind of detail and with this much enthusiasm? (Probably not with the enthusiasm since part of the inspiration was about being burned out)

I recently discovered P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C and I'm in love with this song. It feels like they ventured from hard rock into punk with this one (and actually a few songs on Q.O.T.M.S, including "Hunter"). I love the entire album...
Chapter four is actually sad to me. I love it, but I feel the turmoil in the character and her end is so sad, but yet inevitable. This album is a total work of art. A masterpiece. How can you top it? I know you can and I can't wait!

I heard it in the drum strokes and I thought "did they just drop the tempo a notch or 2?" Have you guys thought about doing a theatrical production based on this album? Billie Joe Armstrong and Alanis Morissette did so with American Idiot and Jagged Little Pill albums, both of which are concept albums. I mean, Queen of the Murder Scene is a Shakespearian tragedy that would fit really well as a musical. Imagine that album cover in lights on Broadway or the West End. Stunning!
