This is literally my first ever TH-cam comment, but I just wanted to say I LOVE how knowledgeable and enthusiastic you guys are about your tools and your craft! I very recently started trying to learn lettering and calligraphy (and learning the difference between the two! lol) so I've been obsessively watching brush pen reviews and the Sailor Shikiori brush pens caught my eye because the color collection was so different from a lot of the other brush pen color groupings. Haven't yet ventured into the world of fountain pens but these look so gorgeous and the concept is EVERYTHING. Anyway, sorry, but thank you so much for all of your insight!
Ashly I think you're the one that helped me pick my ECO -green-stub, sheening ink then u helped me find the graph notebook. Thank you again! I'm so glad I found Yoseka!
Thanks for such a great video! I really enjoyed learning about the pens and inks. I like how the seasonal elements behind each pen is a little off-beat and unexpected - so cool! Your energy is so great here as well! Really makes me want to look closer into Sailor pens.
These pens are so pretty! Thank you for teaching me all about the Sailor Shikiori line - so much information in your videos and I love watching your content 😊
I just got my first Sailor ink, mine is Manyo Haha, but I’m so amazed by this color and the quality of the ink that I’m definitely going to grab a few more from the Shikiori and the Manyo lines. I use my ink collection for illustrations, so having new colors is always such an exciting process
I don't use fountain pens, but I have to watch all your videos bc the enthusiasm and love for stationery is uplifting! The fairytale series is really stunning 😍
Thanks for the stories behind the shikiori line. I use Manyo FP and Yonaga. Diverse style (“language”) is what makes your videos different. Keep it up.
Dang, Sailor really has some poets working on their team. The imagery behind the pens especially is so beautiful. Thanks for the video, your guys passion is awesome.
Thank you for this video! It cleared up a lot of questions I had about everything Shikiori that we so frequently hear with Sailor 😊 (also, thank you for sending my harusame pen so quickly ❤ love you guys)
Sailor inks never fails me. I really like Sailor Manyo & Jentle (now known as Shikiori) line. I never thought of Sailor pen as something I’d put on my wishlist, thanks to your Sailor nib comparison and this video, now I want one!
Lovee Sailor inks too! Thank you for watching this video and yes! If you are ever around our shop, highly recommend you coming in to try out some of our Sailor testers so you can see for yourself!
Shut the front door ASHLEYYYYYYYYYYY!!! ❤️❤️❤️ and yassssssss I was just looking for something to watch with my evening café ☕️ love all you guys ❤️💕🧿 P.S. Amazing video but I don’t need to tell you that! Also, is any of the Yoseka family adding one of the Sound of Rain Series to their collection?
Hi! Thanks for this very useful video :). The finial of the Spring Rain pen looks deep purple at 0:01; lilac from 17:18-17:22, from 18:39-18:42, and from 19:33-19:38; and magenta from 18:14-18:19. Which moment(s) best represent how it looks under natural light? Does it lean red or blue, and how light or dark is it? Thank you!
Love this type of video from you guys, I learn so much and appreciate what I have even more...will you be getting more in stock anytime soon? I believe they were sold out last time I checked?☺️
So, the new Shikiori collection has 21K nibs on Pro Gear Slim bodies ? And the size of the nib is that of the slim or that of the large model? (Sailor will drive us crazy with its selections)
This is such a good question! Sorry if it wasn't clear from the video. Yes, these new Shikioris come with 21k nib and Pro Gear Slim bodies. It's the first time they've done that and it's the first time we are seeing this smaller size 21k nib! Sailor likes to keep us all on our toes!
True! Some extra nib options would be great! Sailor's Medium Fine is almost more like a Fine for some companies though! If you can get your hands on one to try or stop by the shop to try one, you might like it more than you'd think :)

Sailor knows how to play with colors. Thank you for a thorough video on this line. 😁
Ashley, what a pro! You are a natural in front of the camera. Great job Daisy for a super informative and detailed review.
I love all of the awesome Yoseka videos. They all have so many nuggets of information not readily found elsewhere and I always learn so much!
Yay!!!! Ashley’s the best! Loved this video! So informative and helpful! 💕💕💕💕💕

That summer one in the new line up is seriously so pretty.
I loved hearing the concept behind the products. I would never have known had you two not made this video. Gorgeous products

Manyo Haha was my first color also. I like to paint black drops on my journal pages before my entry so this ink is perfect!

Omg thank you so much! We're so glad you enjoy our videos and really appreciate you watching!

Thank you so much for this deep dive!!! SO helpful!
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful to you! :)
Yes, I have a Shikiori Yozakura pen, and it writes like a dream. Delightful!
Ahhhh so jealous!
I would like to see more table top video of the pens.
A little late to the party, but I just love how you all tell the story behind these pens!
I just bought Autumn Moon and Spring Rain and I can’t wait to get them 🥰

The Vega (glittery dark blue) is very Ravenclaw.
I ❤ hearing the stories about each pen and the meaning behind their names. It adds more personal depth to the pen, which I appreciate.

It is like a lilac purple :)

Thank you so much for watching! Yes! We will be restocking these in July :)
I like the finishes, but prefer the standard size. There's one Sailor x Penlux Mazu (dark green with gold glitter). I jumped on that one.
Would've liked to see the actual inks swatched. It's been hard finding reviews on the Sakura Shikiori inks.
For sure, thanks so much for watching!! We do have swatches of all the inks on our website if you'd like to check them out there!
@@Yoseka Oh ok, thank you!
I’m a little heartbroken that Ashley doesn’t own the beautiful grateful crane Shikiori! 😭 I hope one eventually finds its way to her!
So each pen only works on their respective season inks?? Or one pen works in all?? 😁😁😁

I saw these pens online and only come in medium. Wish it was an ef nib so I can write Chinese characters with

3:15... as are you.
You GALS are so adorable..( not guys!!!!). Time to update your language.. thanks very much.. the pens looks amazing!
