@@pulponair I just pulled my 991A apart and I'm afraid that it won't fit, s there are some clearance issues with some surface mounted components on the PCB. Plus, if I were to do it, I'd have to desolder the 4 wires (2 red, 2 black) and make bridge for them. Is it possible? Maybe. Would it be a right pin in the arse? Yup. If you are curious and have an email, I can send you some pictures.

@@hamradiotube The icom and yaesu radios use the same connector so theoretically the Powerpole mod should work for both. The issue I have with the 7300 is that the power wires inside aren’t screwed to the mother board but look like they are soldered and there are 4 connections, 2 for positive and 2 for negative. Making the mod a bit more involved.

I don't mean to rain on your parade but why not just put Anderson Power Pole connectors on the end of the factory cable. My connector on the back on my FT-891 is secure but I suppose if you frequently disconnect to pack it away it would losen up. I don't because mine in mounted in the mobile. Remember that Anderson Power cable must have in line fuses like the factory cable. Otherwise it's a nifty project if you use your radio for POTA for instance with frequently disconnecting of the power cable.

Actually, David, your suggestion opens up an entire realm of possibilities for those of us without 3D printers and who are at the mercy of the German ham and the mysterious "Wangg" touted in another video. Making a short "double-ended" Anderson Power Pole link would allow those of us who have a multi-outlet shack terminal strip to remove the rig easily from the shack and take it to the field. My terminal strop is already fused and the result would be less clutter, etc.
And so on. Inasmuch as I also have an IC-7200 as well..
