I've can't say Tera melos was ever my favourite math rock band but they're really one of the titans of genre. Definitely not the song I'd choose but cool to see how you feel about any of their stuff.
Super happy to see tera Melos on your channel. I couldn’t recommend more that you check out songs across their discography. Every album has a distinct vibe but still is unmistakably them. They are definitely worth seeing the bigger picture

(it"s 2021 and this is ONE decade old in my maths - or really 11 years since the original release seems to be at 2010) I can't explain this piece any better than you, but I got really swept away with it at first listen and revisiting it only enhances that great feeling!

I think guitar effects usually play a role in how they compose or construct songs, due to their random aspect, then it's rhythmically compartmentalized. Great melodic sense in the bass and drums help bring the chaotic elements into a cohesive statement, or seemingly so. Could just be a matter of perception. They befuddle me every time I try to quantify.
