Nice car but felt sorry that the owner doesnt eventell the Model year correctly.W123 was produced only upto 1986 (unless it was from china where its production continued upto 1989).Also he says nowadays there is no such model names for MB which is wrong.Present E class is W214, C class is W205.only difference is that there was no classification as E, or C till 1993.
He got it as an ancestorial car which was imported by his dads friend from Nigeria bro. Nd probably this might have been a cbu unit to Nigeria. So I don't think he can give the exact year of manufacture bcz year details ellam vintage vandikalil especially imported onces il proper avar ila ..nd i guess though the naming pattern exists as u said , merc is not using it but rather defining vehicles by class now in sales market. I guess thats what he meant. Eg : Today the cars are sold as e class, e45 rather than using 114,123,124 etc in previous times. Also there was classification as C,E,S before 1993 too but it was not used in sales market ...like what they practice now is vise versa to what they practiced before. Tht 118 was S and SE while the 123,124 were E
