Half a million assets means nothing if my interests do not "mesh" with Trainz Plus Gold's interests. And every route that does match my interest is downloaded with corrupted files.

I'm still confused but you guys have come a long way since Trainz. Loving the look of Surveyor 2.0! Has "Content Manager" been updated? It was not fun to use that at times. I miss the game for sure, but I'm not so sure how I feel about a yearly subscription.
We used to be able to purchase software and computer games with a one-time purchase and use the software and game forever. Then a brilliant company realized if they charged a subscription, they could really rake in the revenue year after year. Subscriptions aren't going away.

I still use the 2004 version of Trainz..20 yo but has the engines and rollingstock for the system I was employed in for 27 years so can relate better..
Two Years and still no update on train 3 !! atleast fix the bug where it just stuck on logo screen if Surveyor work is pending.....

If you enjoy missing content....Trainz plus and Trainz Platinum is your choice. Packed with Rogue AI controls like some of the content on JR. After 20 years, just ditched TRAINZ forever.
JR had some really good content some still unmatched today, tane was my last Buy and I was not happy with it.

I'm researching this game as I'm planning on buying it... Where do I buy from to get the download station, but even then, I've seen some sources saying you have to pay for either platinum or trains plus I can't quite remember to get the download station.
The Download Station is free to use for anyone with a copy of the game. We offer what's called a First Class Ticket for higher download speeds. FCT is also included with a Trainz Plus subscription for no additional charge.
I don't understand this. If I buy Trainz 22 Platinum I don't get HD Terrain. If I buy Trainz Plus Standard I have to pay a subscription but is that extra to the cost of TRS 22 ? It's not well explained.
You don't get HD terrain unless you go for the subscription and you don't get the full contents/ dlc's or whatever unless you go for the top subscription. What you actually get with full contents is not made clear, whether it is a lot more buildings and houses etc or it is just more trains and carriages.

Between Trainz New Era Platinum Edition and Trainz 22 Platinum Edition which one is better?
I know the Trainz New Era Platinum edition was released in 2015 and Trainz 22 Platinum is more recent but does it have more features / valuable content?

You can run different versions on the same PC, just not at the same time for certain online actions (e.g. multiplayer). You can also copy your local content into your new version.

Found some interesting stuff. Broken boards on routes, broken textures...Some of the same ugliness found in TRS 2012.
Can you support ttainz android back?, more routes more steam trains, trains from other games, auran trainz and other?
Yes. All we have here is just Trainz 2004 with some better graphcics and some improvements to route building. Still, Trainz still sounds and drives like it did with TRS2004. That is 20 years of hardly any improvements to the physics. Don't get me started on electric train sounds. It sounds horrific! Trainz has no decent way to make good sounding electric trains! 20 years of just putting some makeup and some fancy clothes on the same pig.

iI remember the very first one simple fun..now after it was taken over it is so confusing too many versions to keep up with , bad enough you had to pay for the game then pay to us the downloads station where people made things for FREE they turned that into profit or 2mp an hour..half the assets are missing or broken missing photos,in another language outdated or called something completely different that you cannot find it (example box car listed as frugean hoffen vagon or some thing) .i like to see the box cars open and product put inside not just invisible loads. most American content is not ideal or does not look right or even belong in the US it is just a muddled over priced mess. pay for this pay for that want this pay extra GREED took over and i quit buying.

Is another game for this money give much more, and trainz still problems,light night îs like a game 90's ,sounds too, i was have gold edition for 6monts 14euro per month ,i was stupit too pay so match money in 6monts and now i give up and i can not play trainz22 80euro in 6monts and now i can not play, not good too mach money i give up for this game,no rentable at all!
I agree. I use the TANE version and enjoy it. None of the bug fixes were ever sorted out in all the versions and when TS12 32 bit was replaced with Tane 64 bit and a new engine I was happy. As for expense then everyone wants the new toy and then complains about the bugs. One guy on the forum worked out a years subscription cost for the newer versions and backed out to Tane. I subscribe to an FCT for downloading content but that is as far as I will go.

@@Extracord If we're going strictly on realism, then any Run8 Train Simulator version has you covered. The fact that engine sounds were allowed to have any kind of bass is a nice touch as well. They actually sound like real machines. Trains feel heavy too. Plus, the physics aren't a poorly constructed house of cars so crashing trains doesn't create a 500MPH train cannon.

I have played quite a few train games including trainz 10 12 and new era and trainz 2019 trs train games by dovetail and Derail valley and Railroads online. I used to love trainz 2010 until I started to play the other ones mentioned and even to this day all of the Trainz games have the worst graphics Of all of them. Quite unbelievable that a game ten years old has got far better graphics than the latest trainz games.
This game is GOOD
