- This is the pre-jump training video for Skydive City/Z-Hills Tandem Students. This video does not cover all the steps of the training necessarily, but is a great overview of the skydive, and covers the important safety aspects of the typical tandem skydive here at Z-Hills.

Whoa!! Thank you so much for this video!! When my dad was alive, he went sky diving. He wanted me to go sky diving with him, & had planned to pay for lessons for me. Unfortunately, it NEVER happened. Possibly my mom, who hated that he sky dived,especially after 1 jump where his helmet came loose during the jump, & he ended up with a cut behind 1of his ears.
I'm thinking of trying tandem jumping just to experience what my dad experienced while he was alive. He always told me it wasn't scary. Thinking of doing it in memory of him, even though he died such a long time ago (1998).
I just got got home from 1st dive... Thank You for this video... it helped me be prepared! What an adrenaline rush!

Looks like soo much fun! My dream thing to do but with high blood pressure it may not be a good idea?? I'm 6' and weigh 250lbs so I'm probably too large as well?

interesting let me ask, can the tandem person also steering the parachute with help of the instructor?
I can't answer for this drop zone, but I've jumped tandem twice at GoJump Oceanside in California. On my second jump my instructor gave me the controls and led me through basic turns. For my Dad's 5th jump, his tandem instructor taught him how to position his arms during free fall to learn how to turn and let him pull the chute.

You are way too heavy man. You’ll be charged extra for anything over 200 lbs.

why do the tandem instructors always pull the passengers head back, just as they exit the plane......
Did my first jump a week ago for my 40th. From what I understood its because people have a tendency of their head snapping back as they hit the wind
He already said in the video 4:50 that it makes it easier to breath
@@jimandrews4261 I went skydiving back in August & I couldn’t breathe for shit. I let go of my harness to catch my breath (I was freaking out at the fact I couldn’t breathe). My instructor tapped my shoulder so hard and I looked at him. He looked so pissed and/or concern lol. After the parachute opens, it was a very lovely experience. Most likely will not do it again for a few years lol.

@@L3NFxoxo I'm pretty sure any dropzone can lend you a helmet, here in Belgium they won't let anyone jump without one.
