i have a fun fact about the Duchess of Hamilton: the streamlineing made it more heavy and even the man who built her said "it was only a marketing gimic"
Mr Muffin Trains yes, Stanier never intend them for speed, even when they reached 114 miles an hour, it was extremely dangerous and the train almost derailed. The streamlining was put on to make them look more impressive
It basically is a Princess Royal with a streamlined steel casing.

Duchess of Sutherland again, but I want you to have Duchess of Sutherland painted in LMS postwar black at 104% power and you to drive Duchess of Hamilton painted BR blue without her streamlining this time. As you drive Duchess of Hamilton, make sure the PSI is high enough to make her go faster and faster.

Duchess of Sutherland is better in my opinion, also Sutherland has been painted in Hamilton's color, but because it's not streamlined it never had the tender.
Not only do I like Duchess of Hamilton when she’s not streamlined, but I also like her in either LMS postwar black or BR green. The BR red looks very nice on Duchess of Hamilton but it’s getting kind of ordinary to me. What’s really ordinary is Duchess of Hamilton streamlined and painted LMS red with gold stripes.

You are aware that that casing is I think it's 14 tons heavier than on the duches of sutherland so that is top speed bottom acceleration but that is why if you think you know who wins

The sotherland looks more prototypical
The hammilton is always wheel sleeping, cause of its bad design the design of its train is for power/strenght it means his piston from starts will power fast but cause it is for race and a express train it will wheel slip a little bit, but makes thing worst, is its stream line shape because of the stream lined shape it is so long time to gather friction while its tender stream lined shape can gather more friction so it will chain reaction so more bad wheel slip, and cause of what i said before about the tender in speed rides, the tender will pull the train a little bit causing the hammilton to slow and the hammilton streamlined shape (everyone know) makes him heavy doesnt help, the streamlined shape will help but cause the tender and piston problems it makes the train streamlined shape useless

You shouldn't just slam the regulator up to 100 it's just so in efficient in real life the Hamilton would be quicker
