I was in a relationship for 14 years and my partner at the time moved to another city for work and ended up dating another guy while we were still together. He broke up with me after a year of doing this. I was so hurt but I couldn't say anything because he deserves to be happy (we all do). I still think about it (it's been a year already) and I feel so sad, I feel so hurt that I was just a place holder. He was my first love and I don't know if I can ever love again. Realizing I was just a placeholder really put things into perspective for me.
That’s brutal!! Try and heal your heart and get yourself back out there! You deserve true love! If you were just there until someone else cane shopping, then you never really had it! I think one of the hardest things with love is being able to open our hearts again when they have been hurt! Hang in there! Don’t wait forever!
