Baa haaba! Nice to see the rocky beaches along the Acadia shore. When I was there in the summer in the early ‘90’s, you couldn’t even take a picture of that: It seemed like every piece of rock had someone sunbathing on it! The Beehive trail looked crazy to climb, but at least the view was worth it. So many people too; good thing you started early. Ram 👍🏼👍🏾
Acadia is mobbed, Ram. That's why we preferred the quieter southwestern side of the island, and why one evening in Bar Harbor was more than enough for me. In addition to the hike, it seemed like there were a million folks trying to get the same shot that I used for the thumb. It took some real jockeying and rock-hopping to get to a position where I'd get no one else in the shot. It's beautiful, but nutty crowded.
Thank you Larry! We'll be back some day for sure, not only for more of the coast but also the north woods, the mountains and lakes around Rangeley and more.
@@GrandAdventure I live 30 minutes south of Rangely...a different kind of Maine...2 kinds of beauty. When you do, you'll probably go thru Farmington. Make sure you get some famous Giffird's ice cream. 😋😋 Plenty of room in the back for your 5'ver.

Very nice area. Glad you were able to get your suspension issue rectified so quickly. and yes the weather. I guess with the North Atlantic, you get what you get.. continued safe travels....
Thank you Shawn! Yep, Billy was definitely Johnny-on-the-spot for us. I was grateful that it happened only 3 miles from our Maine campground reservation, which gave me a full week to get it taken care of. As I was checking in I asked the campground staff if they had a mobile RV tech referral, and they handed me Billy's card. As we've said so many times, things happen. You just figure out how to deal with them. As for the weather, it's sometimes difficult to communicate through video just how beautiful the coast can be even in inclement weather. Brilliant colors -- blue sky, green foliage and the varying hues of the water -- are replaced by varying shades of grey. Objects appear and disappear in shifting clouds and fog. It's just a different kind of beauty.
@@GrandAdventure That is so true. We always enjoy our trips no matter what weather we get, and you are so right, it is just a different beauty in different conditions. That MoRyde independent suspension I mentioned a couple of years ago is looking better than ever now. Just stop by Elkhart on the way home and get it installed.😊
I so enjoy your videos! We were touring the Bar Harbor area last year. We had sweeping views all around Cadillac mountain and it was epic. I’m so sorry you went all that way and got skunked by the weather. I was really looking forward to your kind of footage. Owls Head was a nice bonus though. We didn’t have time to visit it while there. The downside of that area is the insane, chronic traffic, but if you like people watching it’s a real treasure 😂 Enjoy the rest of your travels.
Thank you so very much! Indeed, the traffic and congestion throughout the NE US is something that we're just not used to anymore, despite the fact that I'm a New England native. We've been gone from the area far too long to be used to that anymore. What I found striking is that the congestion ends right at the border. The Canadian Maritimes were so quiet and comparatively devoid of people, relatively speaking. A lot of travelers' imagination evaporates where the map ends at the border. And we thank @DownsizingMakesCents for pointing us to Owl's Head. I probably would've missed it otherwise, but having to run to Rockland to pick up a kayak seat upgrade gave us the excuse to check it out.
Thank you Marc, for the continued excellent content. That was the “million dollar shot” of the light[house] as viewed from off shore. Loved it! Safe travels.
