This video is for anyone out there that wants to pack light, but also stylish on a long term summer trip to Europe!
When I was researching what to pack for my 3 month trip I realised that all the youtube videos were for backpacking! And I had no intention of backpacking, so I'm here to fill the TH-cam void and show you how to pack for long term travel in Europe with a carryon sized suitcase!

The best roller suitcase I ever owned was a $28, checked size suitcase from Walmart. It was ugly af, and to be honest I didn't expect it to last more that 1 or 2 flights. I used to take 30 to 40 flights a year for work, plus a few extra for personal trips. I used it solid for 5 years. I only stopped using it as my main suitcase as I won a similar sized one which looked a lot better. I used it maybe 5-10 times a year for the following 5 years. I was so upset when the wheel broke. It was an absolutely amazing bag.
Wow! That's incredible that a cheap Walmart suitcase lasted so long! Goes to show expensive doesn't always mean good quality!
@@rachel.isabelle I honestly was just expecting it to get me home, 98% of the trips I used it for were long haul with multiple transfers. In contrast, my brother and his wife were given a beautiful samsonite luggage set as a wedding gift. They used it flying for the first time flying home to Australia. Both cases were smashed when they picked them up at the carousel. It was really bad luck.

I wouldnt be able to bring a packed suitcase longterm as toomuch weight and too costly.
It's possible, you just have to really think about and plan what you bring with you. I probably went a little overboard and packed more clothes than I needed 😂But if you feel a backpack works best for you, then go for it!

haha, there are definitely two types of people when it comes to suitcases vs backpacks 😂You're definitely still welcome here though, I have some good travel items that I brought good for backpackers or suitcase people alike!
