Thank you for doing this series. I had recently realized the minor prophets are neglected in modern Christianity and in my life so these have been a blessing.
”Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.“ Amos 3:7 Yeshua is Yahweh and everything he did was foretold in the prophets. Love the connection you made about calling out hypocrites, David! Shalom
"For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals." Amos 2

I know my message gets annoying and people block it or delete it or ignore it or refute it angrily but it must be heard and spread. I once was a 'there is no salvation in pronounciation' type of believer. I still believe that pronunciation doesn't provide salvation but the thought that everyone in this community has escaped a massive injustice by the mainstream Christianity but yet still stands firm on the names issue or other issues makes me feel like 'you're so close, now finish the job.' JESUS' is not the name, we ALL know that and even if we say "well, the Apostles wrote the NT and they wrote ee-ay-zoos or Iesu or Iesous or Iesu or however you want to frame it, so if they never said the name any differently then why should we?" But we ALL know how far away from that name is truth. So the basic layout. If we accept modern 'scholarship' we accept Yahweh as the Father's holy name but somehow we still think Yeshua makes sense? Why? Yeshua is based on the shortened form of Yeho-shua so they allege, the 'scholars' and what do they claim this name means? Yahweh is salvation or some form of that is what they say but yasha is salvation like YashaYahu. So how do we get Yeho is the shortened form of Yahweh? Well, we don't because Yeho is based on Yehovah which is incorrect. The one thing we ALL know for sure is Yah is the yod, heh... so Yeshua CAN NOT be a shortened form of the name YEHO-SHUA because that name is incorrect. Shua means to cry out(for help). Saves comes from sha which is shin, ayin. The name of Joshua in Hebrew is Yod, heh, vav, shin, ayin which is not Yeshua but Yahu-sha. Yod, heh, vav, heh CANNOT become Yah-weh when 187 times in the OT yod, heh, vav produces Yahu. Vowel points have destroyed the original meaning on purpose. The point of the story is make Yahweh, Yeshua, Yehoshua, shua, and the other 187 biblical names in which yod, heh, vav is Yahu make sense... just make Yahweh, Yeshua, and Yehoshua make sense. Is the name of the Father chopped liver? Hashem? That guy? So the everlasting name of the Father which will be written and remembered forever based on the 3rd commandment and what scripture says somehow becomes this name that is changed to fit OUR language and not OUR language is used to fit around His name? The name should never be changed or removed from someone at the will of man. If Moshe bestowed the Yod of Yahuah to Joshua to make it Yahusha meaning Yahuah is salvation, who are we to chop to smithereens? Go ahead and try to make Yahweh, Yeshua, Yehoshua, and shua make sense...let alone the other 187 plus instances of yod heh vav that equal Yahu. Don't just say the name you think you know...
Shalom @chuckdeuces911, If you're interested in our thoughts on the name, pronunciation, and why it's ok to say the name, Jesus, we have an entire series titled Hashem. Messianics are just that, hypocrites. They sing songs of praise to the name of YHWH. They observe His feasts. They keep His sabbath. They believe God is blessing them in their works. But they also worship the name of a created being and sing songs to that new name and believe in a new work in this new name. They believe this new name to be equal to YHWH. They believe this new name to be God in the flesh. They believe that salvation comes by this new name. Exo 20:2 I am YHWH thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Deu 4:35 Unto thee it was shown, that thou mightiest know that YHWH, He is God; there is none else beside Him.
Nothing within the book of Amos "points to a messiah". This book point to the Lord of Hosts, YHWH who brings judgement on Issrael and Judah and all the nations who have come against the servant of God. The sevant being spoken of in Isaiah 42 is Israel, Jacob the one who was beloved by God. It is not about a man who died on a cross. You completely destroy the context of Amos by jumping to a preconcieved notion that everything in the Torah and the prophets points to this man god you believe in and worship.
Yeshayahu 53, why is it that the jewish majority are told to not read this chapter? is it because they are scared that it will point to The Jewish Messiah, Yeshua? You should go and read Isaiah 53.
@@justaperson3641 Who told you that the Jewish majority are told not to read Isaiah 53? This is as false as the man god you serve.. If youunderstood how the Torah portions are layed out you would not believe such a arbitrary statement that only christians and messianics think is true because of what their pastor or teachers has told them to believe.
“Executing Justice often involves Judgement”. This should make everyone tremble.
A Blessed overview. Thank you for this overview.
