Another great video. I wonder where that Lancashire boiler came from, its not a ships boiler. The positivity in your videos is great, so many on youtube complain constantly because things aren't perfect in their world, but the world isn't perfect, and enjoying what we have is wonderful. Thank you.
Nawwww thanks Sandy, I know me too 🤪 need to up my filming game… so often I just want to make the thing and eat… hahaha have something up my sleeve to edit, just gotta find the time 😅
Hi James, When I sailed on Pittwater as a young fella the Z Force boat Krait was restored and located in Pittwater Sydney. I would see her out and about. Thanks for bringing back her memory and service story Dave Perth
10:20 the bird call sounds like a Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo .👍🇭🇲🦘 Excellent adding the depth of detail for Z-group . I knew of them , but training ground , fascinating. Thanks
I thought they were Black Cockatoos as well. I'm not from QLD but their calls sounded very similar to yellow tail black cockatoos in Adelaide. I don't think they're Kites. Kites have much more subtle calls I think.
Your videos are so peaceful and adventurous at the same time, this is so great. @2:23 there are some visible scratches on Triteia, hope this is not bad!
That was an especially terrific video - rocks, sand, crabs and crazy loud birds. Really enjoyed it. The meal, omg. Thanks and I hope all is going brilliantly. Happy Sails.
Hi James, and Rhonda, you are on the largest sand island in the world. What a privilege to be there. Not many people have the opportunity to do what you guys are doing even many Australians don’t have the opportunity to do it , I was hoping to catch up with you guys and take you up to the mountains when you are on the Gold Coast you can feed the native birds by hand, enjoy Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
Ha ha....I notice you stayed clear of the rowdy Aussie drinking mob on the pier.....very counter to your whole chilled vibe.... which is what I love about these videos
Would have been cool to see the Dingo's. I once had a dog that was said to be part Dingo. Not sure that was true though. She was fast, both at biting and running, but not too large. For her size a ferocious fighter.
So cool those crabs are !! Lovely video as usual from you guys! I really must say you evolved as a filmmaker, compared to the early videos! Both the filming and narration are great❤❤
I have done this same style and even more elaborate on videos since the beginning, but I only do it when it makes sense and not on every single video 👍🏻
Yeah for sure but mostly I just make videos I would want to watch, I think simple videos are easier to consume for most people so I don’t over do it with unnecessary production unless there is a need. Less is more.
The black rock is called Coffee Rock, but it's not really rock anyway. It's just sand compressed and cemented together over time with organic matter from the swampy vegetation. The only proper rock on Fraser Island is Indian Head and Waddy Point, which are volcanic in origin.
The thought of Australia with its dingoes and crocodiles - Yikes! I guess that's part of the adventure, but like you, I wouldn't mind seeing them but not interested in the "boxing match".
Loved the shots down the inside of the old boiler on the beach .. The combinations of the light, colours and textures made for a collidascope effect. 😎⛵ Some German tourist visiting death valley wearing flip flops sandles lost his shoe last week and ended up getting his feet badly burnt to the point where he had to be carried to an ambulance and ended up in hospital.. 😬 I saw a short of a crowd on a Australian beach theres a lass lying on a towel face down sunbathing ... Wearing a thong bikini .. A dingo comes skulling down between the people walks up to her snifs and sort of tests her glutes to see if they are worth a real bite ....🤦🏻🤣... Ensuing screaming and guys trying to chase the dingo back into the dunes.. but he keeps looking back as if to say ...what you all getting mad at Im a dingo ? 😂😁
Looks delicious. At K'gari, (formerly Fraser Island) there are some really wonderful fresh water lakes and huge forests. The water in the lakes is crystal clear. Not too late to turn back to take a look. (;-) PS: K;gari is the world's largest sand island. The sand is deposited there from the East Australian Current that runs from the south of Australia to Queensland. There is no more sand further north from K'gari in Queensland.
One of those random info snippets the brain retains...... The white (Quartz) sand has one of the highest silica contents found.... Think its 96-98%. NASA were given special permission to use it to make the lenses of their telescopes. Think it was sailing channel "Slim and Sofie" where i picked that up. They did some great vids about sailing the Whit Sundays. 👍
@@SailorJames No idea James, as mentioned it was just a random info snippet ive retained subconsciously........ the mind boggles, as i usually cant even remember where my glasses are 😁
That area between the mainland and K'Gari (Fraser Island) is such a beautiful part of the world to sail in. Did you know it's one of the very few locations where you can charter a bareboat without needing a license? There are two companies in Hervey Bay to charter sailing catamarans from, and after an extensive briefing you can go and sail (or motor) into your very own adventure in these protected waters. We have done it a few times in the past, it's a great family holiday.
How do you not know of the original name is now used for this island? Eliza Fraser was rescued from the shipwreck by the local tribe and looked after before delivering her to the mainland. She lied and said the Aborigines tortured her. This led the police to dispossess the people who have been living there for 50,000 years. Some were killed. NEVER should the Fraser name be remembered in a good light in relation to K’gari.
This is just so inspiring and calming to watch. Love you both. Blessings to you both on your travels.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
i watched your food improv with interest rhonda and as a chef of many years i was impressed, chef approved 👌🏻✊🏻🏴
Very enjoyable video guys. Those birds you heard are black cockatoos, either the yellow or red tailed variety. Cheers

i admire everthing you did in the kitchen well done
I have been missing Love grub galley... kept looking for more of them . Was so pleased to see the prep on this delicious meal .
Nawwww thanks Sandy, I know me too 🤪 need to up my filming game… so often I just want to make the thing and eat… hahaha have something up my sleeve to edit, just gotta find the time 😅
Love your vids. My African grey heard the birds and started chirping. Loved it. Thanks
Amazing 😂 thanks for sharing that

We saw Krait at the Sydney maritime when we were there, really cool piece of history!
The music at the end of the cooking sequence is so dreamy!
Thanks 🙏🏻
It is great to see how you folks see things. Too often we pass these places without taking time to notice. Thank you for the video.

The video, with Rhonda, inside the old boiler is amazing. You are not just skilled at sailing, James.
Thanks 🙏🏻
That boiler was really neat!!!
Yes, I'm just at Brisvegas BUT never been there. One of my destinations, when I get a yacht. Thanks.

Excellent adding the depth of detail for Z-group . I knew of them , but training ground , fascinating. Thanks
Thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏻
The birds at 10 mins are yellow tail black cockatoos.
My daughter is named "wyalla" after the biripi aboriginal name for them. They eat seeds 😊
I thought they were Black Cockatoos as well. I'm not from QLD but their calls sounded very similar to yellow tail black cockatoos in Adelaide. I don't think they're Kites. Kites have much more subtle calls I think.
Yep, agree they sounds like yellow tailed black cockatoos. 😊

Cool place! Dinner looks yummy, I don't use a masher either. 😋
Woohoo!! I’m
Not alone!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Hahaha, those crabs were running away saying "don't tell James don't tell James" 😂
Wow.. .Birds sounds like screaming little girls...Cool island nice to have home there overlooking Oceanside
Now the adventure to the Barrier Reef starts and the most glorious part of the Queensland coast.

Yes I labeled in the video as coffee rock

Yeah lots of deadly stuff here!
⛵ ❤
Musta been good cuz no one was talking! (PS but where was the garlic???!!!) -Darcee
Those birds on the island making the pleeeeark call are Yellow tailed black cockatoos, a vey large parrot.
Loved the shots down the inside of the old boiler on the beach ..

A "Z Special Unit" in Australia had me seriously confused, good to know they're Aussies ...
Why did that confuse you?
@@SailorJames Because "Z" is the official emblem of Russian military aggression.

Wish i could travel, sail or fly i dont care where. I would never stop. Reaching new horizons is a my dream. Well maybe one day
Birds are not Kites but black Cockatoos , either yellow or red tails
Food's looking good, boat's looking organised, there's a girl on board? 🙂
The birds you heard calling on your walk were black cockatoos not kites
