2:30 the reason for his wheels moving but him not as fast is called wheelslip on models it can be caused by the weight of the train being pulled is too heavy for the engine
Yeah thats not something that can be fixed or "done better". Even in real life certain train do that so its also very realistic.

This is pretty good I didn't even know these types of goofs and also I literally thought that skarloey is struggling a little bit to pull these cars I guess it makes sense and also I cannot that you brought in the meme famous big chungus from that 1940s Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny short wabbit trouble even though it was pretty funny in the first place 2:58
You can see blu track behind Peter Sam's mask if you look closely and see it in the corner.
I never understood what Sir Topham Hatt meant when he said duncan would be "Cut down in size and his career is on the line".
Perhaps his funnel would get shortened/he may become a generator/pumping engine/scrap. It was a dad joke

What the FUDGE!? A rabbit hole!?
When Skarloey says "I understand," his face moves.
When Skarloey leaves the sheds, he has Duncan's Whistle.
When Skarloey puffs out of Crovan's Gate, his wheels are moving faster than he is.
When Skarloey starts away with the works train, he is missing his eyebrows.
When Skarloey pushes behind Duncan's train, he has Duke's original whistle sound.
As Skarloey comes up behind Duncan's train, there is a spot of light above the brake van in the tunnel.
In the US version, when Peter Sam tells Skarloey about Duncan, he mentions "his drivers" instead of "his driver," even though engines only need one driver.
The camera shakes in some scenes.
Duncan's eyes are wonky when he is stuck in the tunnel.
When Duncan and Skarloey cross the bridge, some studio equipment can be seen near the top right corner.
On Sprout airings the closed captions incorrectly spell Skarloey as "Scarloee" this is probably a error.

Here are some more mistakes you probably missed:
In the RWS version of this story, Skarloey grabbed one truck as well as a brake van but in the adaptation he takes three.
Likewise, he as well as Duncan should be pulling their trains backwards instead of forwards.
