One of those hymns from my childhood in the Episcopal Church. Even as a small boy of 5 or 6 it brought tears to my eyes. Thus was my response then, and thus is my response now at 73. Thanks for this lovely rendering of this most beautiful hymn. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ!

I've always thought these beautiful traditional hymns & spirituals do more to restore our childhood faith than all the sermons, collections and holy deeds. Wonderful job on this moving hymn.
This was one of my Mother's favorite hymns. It brings me back to my days at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Queens Village ( a town in the borough of Queens in New York City). My dear mother went to be with Jesus in December 2007. Thank you for posting this beautiful hymn.
