Geez! You gave me goose bumps again. Simply beautiful and it seems the horses just love the snow. I hope the horsey that skidded and fell on his butt is ok. Whoever did the video with the drone did a great job showing the landscape. I just love horses so much. I always wanted one, but never was lucky enough to have one of my own. I always rode as a kid and loved it. There is this feeling of freedom when running through the fields. Thank you for sharing.

Ha! You spotted it! It actually happened twice, if you go back and watch it again, it was just barely in the frame. He fell, got up, ran over to just slip down again! Yea, When the snow was new they really enjoyed it. I think now, they are ready for it to go. I know I am. God Bless.

Thank you for your message and blessings. Many returns to you and yours. Yes, the weather change is a surprise just like many things happening 'this season'. We are in agreement concerning the tragedy in Ft. Worth. We are prepared to hunker down the next 7 days and hope all the water sources don't freeze and the electricity stays available. God Blessings and safety to you.

The light horse sure gets picked on. A pecking order for sure!

Hi Lela, You sure picked up on it. Which are the gildings and which are the mares? They actually get along pretty well but since I was driving them a little with the drone, his alpha gene kicked in. The buckskin's name is Hero and he is the herd's Alpha male. Hero is a good leader but sometimes the one you spotted doesnt listen and he gets some correction. Thanks for the comment and thanks for searching out our other videos. God Bless.

Brief snow is beautiful and fun... All gone within a couple days. We aren't accustomed to snow and when snow weather comes it usually ends up as ice instead. This was nice. I think the horses enjoyed the white blanket too.

Ah - HA!! You got a taste of our weather here in Michigan, we got 1'8" in less than 16 hours! You should post videos more often, it looks like you have some 'Golden Oldies' in your herd, your videos are beautiful!

Hi Ms. Pete Sidewalk! Thanks for leaving a nice comment. You are so right! I think we had 8" this time. The last time we had measurable snow on our farm was in 2010. It can get quite cold; this time down to -5 F as the coldest recorded temp but it rarely stays below freezing for more than a few days. This time the snow just wont go away. God Bless.

Hi Anna, Thanks for stopping and leaving a nice message. It really is appreciated. That video was pretty rare when we shot it because we rarely get snow. Who knew that February we'd get 8 inches of real snow? Thanks for subing and exploring our other videos. God Bless.

What they didn't show you was the horses making a snowman. P.S. Beautiful ranch you have there.

Beautiful! What part of Texas? Your horses are so lucky to be living in a herd and being free.

Hi DBoss, Thank you for the nice comment. These horses are in a rural community in North East Texas. Longview, Texas and Tyler, Texas are the nearby larger cities we shop for supplies (to give a general pin on the map). There are some really nice properties in this part of Texas. Come join us! God Bless!

@@jmarkwatts Boy, I hope to. 5 more years until retirement, God willing; then we'll be down there. I love so much that you let the horses run free in a herd. I think when you get home, you'll hear Well done my good and faithful servant, and thanks for the care you took of My horses.

Do y'all even own shovels and mittens down there? What did the horses think of it? Were they excited or just mystified? I don't know if they've seen snow before. I live near the Pocono Mountains, PA border. We get more than our share of snow. Wish we could ship some down to you, lol

You are so right... no snow shovels here! In fact, it was so cold the drone gimble was malfunctioning and the drone battery was issuing warnings to land immediately. I don't know how I was to retrieve the drone if it crashed. We get a brief dusting (or slushing) occasionally but rarely caused all the havoc this heavy dry snow did. Fortunately horses can tolerate cold weather. Thanks for the comment and God Bless!
