My understanding is they only qualify for that if a certain percentage of the employees are Texans. That way they don't ship thousands of Californians over there.

I have always questioned their honesty in voting procedures and the end count.
I live in Houston, glad to see the jobs and tax revenue coming our way, however, never want to see ppl loose their jobs anywhere, the Governor of California owes it to his citizens to stop the bleeding from companies leaving California. You’d be surprised how much they have available for drilling in Texas and south east New Mexico. Very good company to do business with. They are super safe at everything they do

Chevron refinery in Richmond, CA has one of the best operating records in our Bay Area, although there had been a few plant upsets. I retired from Shell Oil Refinery Martinez, CA which also had a few upsets in its time.
With Chevron moving its headquarters I’d rather they hire Texas locals than export (more) Californians to Texas.
