Very instructional; my only gripe is the constant reappearance of the raised 6th. Using a Dorian note is super hip in moderation like Miles Davis does many times, however in my experience, using it too much takes away from the natural minor characteristic of the minor blues.

Hi Nick, personally I love the sound of the the 6th, you can also create guide tone lines as it resolves down a semi tone to the third of chord 4. But of course, you can play however you want to!

Nice! Play phrases that you can sing. Be melodic and musical. Jazz is a way of playing notes.

Thank you for this. Great as always. It would have been a bit more helpful though had you shown the lick the second time without your playing so that we could practice it with the backing track on our own. With nothing there, there is no option to repeat the lick - unless your memory is better than mine!

O mais excepcional é que vc coloca as escalas para sax alto e sax tenor.
Eu toco sax tenor e isso me ajuda Muito!!
    Obrigado 🇧🇷🤘

Please forgive me for saying but this sounds more like a jazz tempo.
