For instance at 1:13 there is a single note played each bar. But if you carefully listen to the original, there is a rapid four note and slide. If you listen to the original Like a Prayer by Madonna, the bassline is quite a thing. But listen to her performing the song on tour and the bassline is simplified like the above video because it may be too intense to perform live?! I play this bit on the 1st fret of the A string and rake through the 1st on the E string and then go to the 3rd fret of the E string. However, I don’t know how to fit in a slide. Could you please elaborate? I’m playing this song live in a month and want to play it as true to the original as possible.
@@mversantvoort When you play the last note, release finger slightly from the string and slide your finger down to the 'nut' and release just before you get there. There are a lot of other slides 'Divinity Roxx' does on the song if you listen carefully. With practice and listening, it is possible to recreate it. Good luck Maikel!
