This series has been AMAZING. I feel so much more confident about pattern making/editing.
Side note, where do you get your pattern paper? Can I use a roll of butcher's paper? Which is cheaper?

I have a blog post on my website that goes over all the options. You can get oak tag and alphanumeric paper online, which is the industry standard. For cheaper alternatives, I use butcher's paper, ikea drawing paper, even gift wrap paper (nice when they have a grid on the back). In this video, the green paper is random art paper I had and the white is ikea paper. I like the ikea paper bc it comes in a roll and is pretty cheap. It will change color in the light, though. I'm glad you're enjoying these videos ❤

@@kristathehungrymelon oh fyi, it's a little narrow so you might have to patch if you do any large designs! Happy pattern drafting!

Hi there my problem is i have / curve back if i buy dress with zippe ..back it dont fall straight due to my body flaws or cureveon my back. my question how to correct that to pattern? thank you, hope you can give advice

If you're drafting you own patterns, you can follow all the same steps but do one for each side so your pattern won't be symmetrical. If you're starting with a store-bought pattern, I would make a muslin first. That way you can try it on and adjust where you need to. You may need to redraw your seams to include a curve so you get the best fit, but it will make some seams noticably curved. You will have to decide if you want better fit or a symmetrical garment. Ideally, I would want to do alterations everywhere else before touching the center back seam if possible, but it's not always avoidable!

What should be the waist dart intake in bodice

It totally depends on your original block and who it was drafted for. Check out my video on drafting a bodice block and I mention how to get these numbers there.

How far from the dart tip should the punch hole be?
