The ULTIMATE sounds louder because of the higher Mid range and subwoofer. That's why it sounds clearly.
Ultimate has no sub- 1000 got one
@@EliteNotHD what are you on bro, it has 2 9in subs instead of 1x12in. it will be much cleaner bass because you're running 2 slightly smaller subs than 1 huge one that will be at its limit. the ultimate is much better for actual audio quality
@@EliteNotHD it does have 2 subwoofers. Unlike that one big 12 inch one in the 1000, those two 9 inches are better moving more air and covering more area.
Smaller woofer area = less distortion, resulting in, as you said, cleaner bass, tighter bass. Larger woofers have a special place in my heart, but the highs of the ultimate are so much more crisp, and the mids less muddy. I haven't heard either in person, but am trusting the sound being put out through my link buds S.
Would be lovely to see a pair of 12s in a similar housing.
I can’t lie… being a fan of the ultimate I still think the 1000 sounds cleaner and louder … maybe not bass wise but the sound is more arraigned

I love my partyboxes 1000² I'm trying to compare yet to hear the ultimate...will visit a havey Norman's store soon...the sub woofers on ultimate may end up been a fraction louder with 2x 9inch...though not downward firing. I sub tested mine to 25hz and is audible but any lower is just air movement. Partybox 1000 does have bigger mids though...not 2 tweeters like ultimate.
Ultimate can be easily fix by firmware update. Just like what happened to my 710 after the update it was superb!
Which differences did you notice?
How did it update? The App? And what was the changes in quality of sounds?
@@SPLSPECTRUM the update has corrected the too shrill high mids of the 710 beyond 60% of volume, the sound is better at 100%
The ultimate doesn't have a subwoofer on the bottom like the PB1000 does, so the bass is more directional whereas on the partybox1000 the bass sounds fuller because of the downward firing sub
1000 still holds the legacy,ultimate looks cool but i like the light effects of 1000 its still my fav😘
The highs of the PB1000 is very very good! That compression driver makes a huge difference. But, the overall sound of Ultimate is much clear.

yep, the 1000 is the worst partybox for midrange quality, and isnt even the second best for low bass (the 710 is better lol)

The ultimate sounds louder and clearer.
For me to buy one of these speakers I would have to move to a farm or something where I have no neighbors because I would get many complaints 😊

I live in a suburb 8 kms away from the city center, with my nearest housemate 10 meters away from me, and my nearest neighbor about 100 meters away. My bro doesn't even complain coz he's always out of the house and our locality is sparsely populated and scattered. That way, I can Pump Up The Volume to the maximum without people complaining about the noise, noise that I call music to my ears.
I like 1000 better because it has a much better sup sound
Everyone saying PB1000 is better couldn't afford the Ultimate.

i compare Jbl ultimate with my db audio versabox 12, the ultimate has the clear and amazing sound , my db audio versabox 12 is not producing a nice sound but not that bad , and when comparing to the loudness my db audio versabox 12 is more louder than jbl ultimate

Pb 1000 is d best because ther 12inch woofer.. and the sounds of ultimate is still the same loud but party box 1000 is d best ❤️❤️❤️
1000 is a relic, doesn't support waterproof apps, and has a bad design, so I'm now retired.

If you look at vale for money I got two pb 1000s for the same price as one ultimate. And x2 1000s vs 1 ultimate. The 1000s absolutely pump!!

difficult, it all depends on the price difference.
Sur la partybox 1000 les basses sont ultra représentés tandis que sur l’ultime, les deux sont combiné avec un léger penchant sur l’aiguë et c’est ce qui m’a fait rester avec ma partybox 1000 car moi j’aime quand ce sont les basses qui dominent… après l’ultime à une application dédié avec pas mal de fonctionnalités telles que l’equaliseur, jeu de lumière… ce que n’a pas la PB1000 😌

I wish Mackie Made ParyBoxes ................they always blew away JBL's, respect for the JBL's they've improved since 1998. Dj since 1983 never owned JBL's they never gave me the itch, I was so disappointed with their Dj Line .............. at least their better than Behringer Speakers

to me the partybox 1000 sounds more like a v shape curve, while the ultimate pretty much "flat" to my ears

Sound quality wise, I think both are pretty good and very comparable, so I am keeping my 1000.

The 1000 have better bass until 50% when is over 50% volume the bass isn’t that much good but on ultimate the bass is still getting better when you have over 50% volume
From what I’ve heard about the 1000, bass increases up to 70% and then it stops… I’m so happy with mine ngl
@@kasan1269 it depends on the bass boost mode activated and the song, the bass stops increasing when it reaches the limiter.

The limiter only reduces the bass when necessary, when physical limits are exceeded.
