- It's September 1994 and i'm in North Wales. We see Regional Railways operations at Llandudno Junction & Rhyl plus a class 37 hauled engineers working. Regional railways workings are loco hauled class 37's, Met-Cam class 101 and 156 & 158 Sprinters. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport vids to upload!
Great video !
Brings back many good memories❤
I love the 101s
The 90s, a great time for regional railways; you could generally get a good seat, you could open a window in a door to take photos without dirt or distortion through a window, and if you got a class 37 or 31, you were in heaven.
Yes, it was a good time to be chasing trains along the Coast......
Always get that nostalgic feeling when I watch these 80s/90s BR videos!
I’d forgotten how big the loco hauled sets were in 1994. Looking at the timetable it’s clear Regional Railways still saw them as a temporary solution to cover certain diagrams, whereas a year later it was resigned to an hourly service with shorter rakes.
Long trains no over crowding......
I do like the 37's in intercity and regional railways liveries.
I do remember Regional Railways. They operated lots of good train services. Same with Network Southeast.
Nice one sir!
Thank you...... I spent a lot of the 1990s chasing trains along the Coast......
The Sprinters would have been new when you filmed this.
No they wouldn't.
They were probably around 5 years old at this time, still quite 'fresh' compared to today!
