Hello Jacob! Thank you so much for all of your videos, they have been so useful and I've already watched most of this channel just since Friday night haha. The nightlife is certainly lacking here in my hometown of Oregon, and I looooved the nightclubs I visited on my recent vacation. Getting in as a tourist with a promoter was free and very simple. How does nightclub entry function as a local? Do you still have to be in touch with promoters to get on the guest list, or is there a different way that locals generally enter? Thank you! I haven't started on the 18+ channel yet but from browsing the titles I didn't think that it would be covered in one of them. Thanks again
You're welcome Shibu. Getting in free as a female tourist is fairly simple with a promoter. For locals the discounts are commonly during the week. Like XS industry night on Mondays is free for locals. You just have to show them your Nevada ID to prove that you are in fact a resident of the state, and you're set to go!
This may be a silly question but, do you know if having a players club card have any benefits when going to clubs? For example, I have an Mlife card for all the MGM resort properties, so if I were to go to a club at any of those places, would it have any relevance at all?
I'm not sure, but I doubt it. The clubs lease their space from the casino, so although they work together, they are two separate businesses (unless the hotel/casino owns the club). I've only heard of the BIG players getting benefits in the nightclubs
I like your channel so far! Thanks for all the tips you put in them. I am looking to move to Vegas by myself soon. Do you know of any good 1 bedroom apts. of the top of your head? Nice neighborhood and relatively cheap rent? ($500-$600)
what are the DMV fees, plate fees? electricity water utility bills? or is this channel focused on entertainment? I'm new, maybe I haven't reached it yet..
+JacobslifeinVegas Thanks for the quick answer. It looks like I'll be moving to Las Vegas after selling my house in Covina, CA. There are some houses going from $40,000-$50,000 that I'm looking at.
+Screaming Dean You're welcome. You caught me at a good time to comment. You also caught me at a good time for you moving out here. As my channel has grown I'm starting to work my more local businesses, including realtors. If you need some help with the home process just shoot me a message and I'll do what I can to point you in the right direction. Best of luck and welcome to the channel!
You got it. I've been planning on doing one about good neighborhoods. When you look at good neighborhoods, the overwhelming response out here is Summerlin and Henderson, but there certainly are others. This is also a very active city-we have a ton of gyms to choose from. I'll work that into another video....when are you set to move out here?
jonathan phoenix Sounds good. I moved out here literally during the holidays (the week before Christmas). Summerlin is certainly a nice neighborhood. When I came out here I also wanted some distance from the strip. There are plenty of suburbs and master planned communities being built in addition to the ones that are already out here. One thing I tell people though, is that you really don't have to get too far away from the strip for life to be "normal." Las Vegas Blvd is it's own animal, and although there's still some tourist stuff a little off the strip, once you get a few blocks away from parts of the strip the scenery changes from tourist to residential pretty quickly.
Yeah I need to make it happen... Thanks for the videos man! Also the Hersey one because I live now 1/2 hour form Hersey pa where all the chocolate comes from
Great info, Jacob! Thanks for sharing. So much to do and great rates for locals. And even some freebies. Yay! I'm so excited. Hope I move there soon.
You're welcome Erica! It's a pretty awesome perk to being in Vegas!
This just put a smile on my face!! lol 😍 Who doesn't love discounts... especially when you're a hard working person!? 😁
+Naomi Melendez Yes ma'am!

What publications should I look out for when I move out there to learn about these discounts?
I wonder if these discounts still apply after inflation
Is this video still valid April, 2017?

If I’m a Unlv student that is from California can I still get discounts from my student ID card?
Depends on the place of business. I've seen that work for being credited as a local.
What that's awesome good to know!!
It's definitely something unique to Las Vegas, and was a nice surprise I found out when I got here. Thanks for commenting!
What did you have to do in order to get your Nevada driving license? And how long did it take for you to get it?
Just transfer my old one. Did it one visit to the dmv. You have 30 days to register

Yeah I'm thinking summerlin but being closer to the strip would be cool but that might get old fast
Oh and moving ASAP! But most likely after the holidays

I get into a lot of events for free just for being a local! Not that I go anywhere...haha
It is a pretty sweet deal to have! Thanks for subscribing Krystal!
Krystal Utkin So you live in Vegas huh? If so, how long has it been?
I have lived here roughly 23 months.
Do they give local ID if you live.... in henderson area...or Boulder city...??? thanks...
Chan 300076 a Nevada license is a “local” ID
I need to find a fake NV ID. Know any girls who look similar to me? 😂😂
