Disney Cruise San Diego To Mexico Day 1! | Embarkation Day, Room Tour & Parties!!

- Today's vlog marks the end of our Adventures by Disney trip and begins our Disney Cruise from San Diego California to Ensenada Mexico! Another huge thank you to Disney for inviting us on this amazing media trip! We start the morning with a quick bus ride to San Diego where we board the Disney Wonder. We have a quick look around the ship and then give you a tour of our standard ocean view room with a verandah. We watched the Sail-A-Wave party with all the best characters and then headed to dinner at Animator's Palate. After dinner we watched the Disney Dreams live show, we're so happy we were able to make time to check out some of things we missed on the last cruise! Then we headed up to the top deck for the Pirates in the Caribbean party with fireworks! We had a jam packed first day on the ship but it was a lot of fun! Thank you again to Disney for inviting us to join in on this media trip! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

I was thinking the same thing. Fantasmic makes me cry no matter what. Even when I'm home listening to the soundtrack.

I appreciate you giving honest reviews about your experiences. Disney is a lot of money, so it is helpful to have as much info/thoughts as possible.
I so agree. I am glad they are so real about it.
I agree. They are positive but also point out things they don’t like. Tim doesn’t like the food and he said so. They talked about the boat rocking and the lights going off. I feel they are being honest.
yes! And they're real without being just super negative and snarky about it. They don't go into everything acting like they know best. They always seem like they're hoping to have a good time and are very open minded. When they're critical it's just honest and as good, constructive criticism. But they're also always humble and grateful for all they get to experience. It's a very refreshing take on Disney reviews!
I've cruised Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney. I will ONLY cruise Disney now. I pay for my own so I have nothing to gain by saying that. I will say I've never known anyone to complain about the food. I highly recommend trying a Disney Cruise at least once. You can book 2 years in advance and pay over time. 👍🏼

Me watching this in 2023 and smiling when Jenn says "we won't be doing that" when they mention how much concierge is. Amazing to see how far you guys have come. From this trip to staying in the Roy O. Disney suite :)
You were right... it was a bed in the ceiling- it was just locked, only stateroom hosts can put them down 👍🏻
I've had a bed like that on a Norwegian cruise ship before.

15:26 - Rocking ship. Keep in mind the Pacific shelf is short then drops off into a steep continental slope. The Atlantic is a gradual shelf that goes down to a steeper but short slope. In short, we have waves.
Thank you for the breakdown of the ships. We were at the Maritime Museum years ago and I thought Star Of India was there then.

@@sylvestertat1078 yeah those were the days! I took tech school at NTC Orlando, and was stationed just up the road at Point Loma. I used to cruise downtown and the pier quite a bit back then on liberty days...

That my friends, is the power of the wonderful soundtrack from Fantasmic. Seriously, as much as Disney has a lot of amazing songs to get you in the feels, this one takes the cake. It tugs at your heartstrings that cause you to cry from the amount of joy and magic that's overflowing inside of you that wants to come out

That naval ship is the Midway! A retired aircraft carrier that is now a museum. My dad was stationed on that ship in Vietnam. We got to go this past December and it was amazing to see his face light up as he gave us a tour of his floating home away from home.
They seemed to have no idea the San Diego is a huge Navy base.
It cracks me up because now they have stayed multiple times in the fancy suites 😂

Well I dunno if that's the exact reason. Cuz I cry easily and that magical dinner could be an emotional experience. (Example, I cried at the beginning of Phantom of the Opera. The beginning.)

The fat is the whole point of the prime rib! That thing looked delicious. It has been over a year since we went on a Disney Cruise I'm hoping the food quality hasn't dropped touch! That was our favorite part!

While working downtown, I saw the ship and parked in front of it just before you left. (posted the vid on Insta) I was waving goodbye to you guys from the dock, as the ship pulled out, to send you off and wish you a great time👋🏼. Glad the extra videos you had prepared gave you time to get home, run errands, enjoy baby bean, hopefully relax and get reacclimated to Orlando again. I cannot believe that a 2 day cruise is a thing. How do you have any time to enjoy it? Not that I'd ever turn down a chance to be on a Disney cruise lol But thank you for the awesome videos of these adventures! I'm looking forward seeing tomorrow's.
Also, Tim and Jenn talking about the bolognese having a 'nutmeg' kind of flavor - as a Northerner (lol) I think that you might be tasting a southern Italian/North Africa influence that I've seen show up in things like Cincinnati chili. I'm originally from Michigan/Indiana area and that's not normally how we do, but I've seen it pop up more often now that I'm living in Iowa. Different food culture journeys through the states, I think, and it's so interesting.
It is a bed but when the staff do the turn down service they hold the key to unlock it and they set it up for you

Go back and look at their EARLY, early, early videos. Tim was just some dude vlogging for ***** and grins. Very amateur. His very first videos were a little awkward. Some people miss that "authenticity" but I love how they have evolved as "professional" and seasoned content creators - and I think they're still pretty "authentic" and honest with their opinions.

Fat=flavor! That prime rib looked awesome! I'd definitely do everything available, since it's such a short cruise.
I've never seen one prime rib that didn't have a good amount of fat around the edge.
You still need seasoning to add to the flavor.

Jen you can try a thing you want order two dinners if you want taste everything you dont have to pick one item if you like it they will be happy to change it. If I see meals I like I always try them. Dont be afraid to ask for another. Just FYI
Yes, I was wondering if they don't know this. You can also send stuff back! My daughter is very adventurous when we cruise and will try things she would never try normally, but she has learned that if she doesn't care for something to just tell the server and he will whisk it away with a smile and bring you 2, 3, 4 of whatever you do like! I often get 2 different appetizers, maybe a 2nd soup if I really enjoyed it, and I usually get 2 desserts! On my birthday, they brought me 3 :)

Tim, the Naval ship is the U.S.S Midway, you can board it and take a tour of it. It's a lot of fun.
MrLetterM agree...super cool my aunt used to be in the Navy and everytime I would visit she would take me on it and I still have the pressed penny’s from my visits lol
My Dad helped decomission three of the helicopters on the flight deck as well as flew in one of them on a regular basis.

Smiling watching this vlog. San Diego has a HUGE Navy base. The ship and sub you were seeing from the cruise ship are museums . My husband was stationed there and for 3 years my family called San Diego home. ❤️

Fran Densmore I always think about that. It’s important to be honest and think people can decide on things for themselves, however it would deter people to try certain things. Disney may not like that.

I hate that y’all don’t love the food on the cruises. All the cruises I have been on the food has been so good!
Same with us. We are going on our 9th Disney cruise and love the food in the Main dining rooms for dinner. But we eat a huge variety of foods and do not limit ourselves to the basic American items. My kids love lamb, beef, chicken, fish, veggies, etc. We pretty much eat it all and they are always excited to try something new each cruise.

Definitely center, lower deck is the place you want to be for minimum ship movement. HOWEVER, the onset of motion sickness is entirely dependent on the person, the weather, the time of year, and the engineering of the ship itself. I've sailed in the Caribbean a few times on several different ships at a few different times of the year and each experience was completely different. So, what I'm trying to say is, you never know! :) Also, I was super curious for this vlog, because on a 7-day cruise I feel like I'm just getting to know the ship by the time it is over. I can't imagine what a whirlwind a 2-day cruise feels like! Keep rockin' it, though! Well deserved. :)
