Disney Cruise Week! | Princess Gathering, Meeting Captain Marvel, Grand Cayman & Pirate Night!

- Today's vlog is Disney Cruise Week Day 3! Again, we wanted to say thank you to Disney & Disney Cruise Line for inviting us on this 5 Night Marvel Day At Sea cruise for free. We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity! We started the day with a princess gathering! You did need tickets for this meet and greet but the tickets are free to all guests, you just need to reserve them before the cruise. This can all be done on the Disney Cruise Line website. Then we also saw characters around the atrium lobby when we were done. So many characters!! We even got to see Goofy doing a little yoga! After that we met Anna and Elsa which was also a ticketed meet and greet but the tickets are free and can be reserved before your cruise on the DCL website. Before we head out to Grand Cayman, they set up a special meet and greet with CAPTAIN MARVEL!! It was so cool to meet her and talk to her!! She was awesome! Then we head out onto Grand Cayman but because we had so many character meets, we didn't have a lot of time on the island but we definitely tried to make the most of it. We needed to get in touch with our dog sitter so we had to find a place with wifi, so we ended up at Margarita. We had some cheeseburgers in paradise and then took a look around the shopping district and headed back to the boat. Then it was time for Pirate Night! We met Jack Sparrow and other characters in their pirate costumes! It was cute! We watched the Pirates in the Caribbean show out on the pool deck. Mickey zip lined in and saved the day! Then we had out Pirate's Night dinner at Lumiere's which had a special pirate dinner overlay menu. We do a little dinner limboing and then head to bed! Day 3 was a success and we had a lot of fun exploring and being pirates! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with Disney Cruise Week Day 4!

As a side note, sorry for calling the ship a boat... we were on the cruise last week and are editing and uploading now so we call it a boat a few hundred more times.

I had to comment after seeing the title...my wife and I did a Disney cruise over Christmas about 5 years ago. I was looking at the activity guide, saw "Princess Gathering" and asked my wife (sincerely) "Wait...who is Princess Gathering?!" That's when she laughed for about 5 minutes straight and told me it meant a GATHERING of many princesses. I'm still pretty embarrassed about it.

I've always found interacting with face characters extremely awkward as an adult.
Yes I have often wondered about that. I mean you both know that you are fully grown people and both pretending. How does that work? I guess you just have to go with it and suspend your disbelief. I dunno.
I find the non vocal characters the most awkward. I mean... Ive always hated charades!
That's actually a good idea. Next time I'm in the parks and meet a non-face character, I'll try to intentionally misinterpret what they're saying to make things as awkward as possible.

@@DeadmanInc336 I was really glad to hear that presales tickets were high. This character and movie means a lot to many people, more so than the ones doing the complaining will probably ever know. For perspective, its the first Marvel movie that my wife is really excited to go see, opening weekend no less. We became fans of the character a few years ago when we picked up Kelley Sue Deconnick's run in the comics. I highly suggest it if you haven't read it.

I absolutely love watching this. When my dad and step mom married they surprised us at the reception that we’d all be going on a Disney cruise for the honey moon. This was in 1999-2000 ish. And we went on the Disney Magic. So seeing these videos and getting to re-live the best vacation of my life is so wonderful!!

When you said "It feels weird going to a tourist area when you're from a tourist area" I totally understand that feeling. I'm from Cape May, NJ. Americas first sea side resort, so when ever I go to Disney and when I went to work at Disney it felt exactly like home with all the surf type tourist shops etc so I totally get it. It's one of the stranger things in life that only people from tourist towns will understand lol everything always looks the same from one tourist town to another. Especially sea side tourist towns.
Animator's pallet was by far my favorite room to eat in. The way it turned from B&W to full color throughout the dinner was awesome.
I hope Disney let's us hug the characters again! I love all those characters so much!

Yup you are right! And I should know lol. Occasionally they put in lettuce, but usually they tend to do a separate lettuce salad with spring onions. Don't know why, probably a seasonal thing.

This is amazeing. Thanks soooo much for shareing. My mom's dream is too one day to go on a Disney cruise but too much money. She's in her 70s. She said she would love to do it for her bucket list. We could never afford it though. You guys are soooo lucky too get this. I'm like jen though. I would be very anxious to be on a boat for an extended time. The rooms look sooo claustrophobic to me. Looking forward to seeing more.

Omg I’ve been to that island before. It’s sooooo beautiful there, we went snorkeling above a ship wreak. That shopping district is amazing, with so many great gift shops. Anybody who has never been there should definitely go, you’ll have the time of your life. 😁

It was so good to hear Jenn say next time you do a cruise. I am so happy that she overcame a fear and now knows how much fun a cruise is. As a Travel Agent, we love it when a first time cruiser falls in love with being on the ship.
We took our fist Disney Cruise on the Fantasy in Aug of 2017, for your next cruise I would highly recommend the Fantasy, A lot bigger ship and at this time it is Disney's newest and biggest ship. On our cruise we went on a lot of excursions, and we found that tho thay were interesting and fun, they also added cost to our cruise experience ,.and there's so much to do on the ship itself we decided for our next cruise we are not going to do excursions because as I said there is so much to do on board and the excursion can be very tiring, we felt we missed a lot of the ship itself by going on the excursions.

Oh I love Grand Cayman! When my husband and I went we did the stingray encounter. It was awesome! The water was nice and cool and as clear as the clearest swimming pool water. It's beautiful there. I didn't want to leave. 😢

its so nice seeing older youtubers (as in not people with children or children themselves) interacting with characters! I've always been curious how to do it, I don't think even as a kid I ever met any characters, and when I eventually go back I think it'd be fun to try it, but I'm 20 now and the main interactions I've seen have been families, so I was slightly anxious about how to handle it!

Goofy is my absolute favorite! I have been getting goosebumps and just joy from seeing all this footage from the cruise. I was always on the fence if the cruise would be worth it but with all these amazing videos you two have put up, I definitely will be going this summer on one! Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing this Jen and Tim, this series brought a smile to my face, I have been resting after having my baby on the 25th of December 2018 had him in an emergency c section, he is alive and is in the NICU, he was born at 24 weeks and 5 days, and he is going to be fine, but he is recovering and so am I but I'm just recovering from the c section, but I needed to see this, thank you, loved watching the fireworks! Thank you!
