i like how Emile doesn't have to explain what the cannon does. he just mentions it and everyone instantly knows right away what it does.

Depends on how you see canon. Some don't see side games and crossovers as canonical. I do think it happened, but in its own world unless stated otherwise.

@@beta511ee4 I was using the term from Mario Party 3. I'm aware it's only called Details in 8. 3 was simply the one I grew up with and have the fondest memories of, so it makes sense that its terminology would stick with me.

The Duelo Candy is the strongest duelling item in MP history. A 50/50 shot at a star, with a 1 in 6 chance of 2 stars, with almost no risk other than 10 coins.

Fortunately no one encountered Bowser on this board cuz Emile also thought he would just do the same thing in the last board, just to receive the most terrible sunburn ever. Trust me, this will get worse from now on.

Hooray, I was hoping the JoliVector animation would get in here for the "Emile's Unlucky Day" moment. The Booty Boardwalk is my favorite board since, among other things it has going for it, you can ride on dolphins to move faster. True story, I had the chance to swim with dolphins right after I graduated high school as part of a service trip; to this day, it remains one of my favorite memories.
Thanks for the Birthday Present, Pressl2p! Today is my birthday and what better way to spend it, but with TRG and Mario Party!

So… is it possible for dan to track the stats of this board alone by itself so we can see?
So I was sick and decided to lay down in bed and watch this. I fell asleep during it somewhere around after 34:54 at like 36 minutes. Slightly awake but still asleep. I hear the minigame theme. So I'm thinking "Ah they're about to play a minigame. Too tired to open my eyes I wait to try and listen. A minute passes it's still going. I'm now thinking "Huh. Did they take a quick break?" And then finally at like 38 minutes in. I open my eyes. See the video is over. Think "Ah. It's over" And go back to sleep in like 20 seconds and wake up 4 episodes later.

I never knew you had to play with the unlocked character to get the other 1.
A little bit of a correction with something Emile said in this video. You do not have to pick the character you unlocked on your first run through the single player mode to get the other one on your second one. I did it twice with Luigi and got them on both my 2 runs

When I play Mario Party 8 again and have Waluigi as an AI, and if AI Waluigi uses the Thwomp Candy, I won’t stop laughing because of Thwomp Waluigi and what that reminds me of.

5:30 I mean the guys complain about unlocking the 2nd unlockable character not telling you what you have to do, I'd like the chime in with the counter argument that Super Smash Bros. Melee did the same thing with Marth and Roy. It might be more obvious in the latter since there are so many characters to unlock that you'd likely try doing the same thing again as Marth but the point still stands.

Yes Jon is correct only who’s initiates a dual has a chance of getting stars otherwise the other person who’s been dueled will only get coins it’s basically how Mario party 7’s duel mechanics there the exact same scenario probably the stupidest mechanic in the series
