    In this video we are supplied with 04 wrx and some cheap fender flares with the task of molding them to the car. Without molding these to the car and simply using the very few recessed mounting points they would simply look and fit like total dog poop! Watch how we make it look so good using 3m panel bond for initial attachment and finished with filler to blend.
    This overall job took 200 hours, beyond the flare install there was a variety of rust repair needed.
    We didn't focus much of video on the rust repair but overall this car turned out fantastic.

      There was none at the time, he has since lowered it more and added spacers. I think 15mm, these wheels were already pretty wide. Which is why i think he wanted the flares

    • @TheSubieSanctuary

      No name ebay flares, they are a copy of karlton flares. But the fit on these was absolutely horrible out the box. Spend more and get the real karltons for a nice fit

  • @GIXXRBRAH750
    @GIXXRBRAH750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really wish the steps to do this was explained i paid honestly about $700 Australian dollars on flares that didn’t fit and I drilled in multiple holes in the flare and into my guard to make it sit properly but I am thinking about putting gold dress up bolts and blind rivnut inserts all the way around the flares to keep it in place and then thinking about moulding it ontop what do you think?

    • @TheSubieSanctuary
      @TheSubieSanctuary  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damn eh, these were like $300 and he definitely got what he paid for with respect to fitment. These would never ever have had a chance to fit good without molding.
      You could mount yours and panel bond them on then fill over your holes. Thats how we did these after chopping them up to actually become close to the proper shape
