Nice video JC! Email spam came from a skit on the British television series Monty Python's Flying Circus in which chanting of the word Spam overrides the other dialogue. Ya, had to look it up, didn’t know either! LOL. Tight lines!
The first step in a salad especially out of the bag , Wash it . They spray it with ? for "freshness" or so it will last on the shelf. Especially if its from South America because the USDA isnt required to test it for pesticides . Its only US grown produce that the USDA inspects. We just cant discriminate against other countries.
I spent five years and two major fish kills there. That was enough for me to make the move to the east coast. (space coast) It's not going away JC. Yes, it's discouraging, depressing, infuriating and unhealthy. Get out of there if you can. The sunsets are beautiful, but so is a sunrise. Best of luck out there!
Thank you for going the extra mile to deliver us content, JC. You are my favorite fishing channel on TH-cam and I hope that you can make content and have fun doing it for years to come. Cheers from the Midatlantic region!
I'm with you JC, red tide is depressing. Especially since it seems like we just got over all the restrictions and it seems like we are on our way to another big fish kill!
Are they dumping raw sewerage or what. Do they still use septic tanks in the cities. Alabama just spent several million to put in a sewerage system along theire coast with the BP oil rig explosion money.
30 years ago, wasn't overdeveloped and most of the land was used for agriculture now are lots of subdivisions and all of them require having a nice lawn that uses lots of fertilizer throughout the year. Also, some people love to blow the grass clippings to the street, and in some places, water goes to the bay or the gulf creating all of those algae to bloom. I wish every County could share the info with residents on what to do and what not to do when mowing.
Sorry, late to add recipes(from your previous request), but I was also going to suggest a Cesar(calorie wise without the Parmesan), BUT one that is popular in Hawaii: tomatoees( cherry halved or cut up regular), 1 can of sardines with oil, sliced onion, vinegar 2 TBS, black pepper or red pper to taste. If desired, you can also add cut up lettuce, as well. The can oil and the vinegar is you "dressing".
I saw some crevalle Jack in Palma Sola Bay Thursday with a ton of baitfish water was clear. I saw a ton of sheepshead, snook, and Jack crevalle at rod n reel pier on Anna Maria on Wednesday.
Nice one brother, way to keep at it! 🙌🏻 That recipe definitely looks decent 🤙🏻 What you need is a folding foam topper for the cot! No noise at all, and try the reduced sodium spam next time it’s perfect and really good with rice! Try spam musubi!
Well, this video was especially good. JC, you are right about the red tide being worse than it used to be. My wife and I are native Floridians, now living in North Port, and we remember that 30 years ago the red tide used to be a once-in-10-year event. Now, it has been happening continually. Is there a pollution issue in Tampa that affects the coastal waters further south? I wish I knew.
Looks good JC, bet it smells good too. haha, you gotta put something between the mattress and the bed man.... that's loud. I love SPAM. It is yummy.... but it's so salty you won't pee for a week. SPAM Stands for Spiced Ham. Spam makes a great sammich. Enjoyed every second of the video JC... Thank you.
Good morning JC happy fishing 🎣 Saturday 💝 sending you a big JC add the seasoning instead the cavity I love fried mojara I remember when I would go Pier fishing with my dad we would fried tilapia and we call it mojara also fried mackerel
We been getting a lot of seaweed on the East coast. Keep your head JC you got this! I see big fish in you future 😂!!! Good video buddy! Your more than welcome to come to East Coast is nc. We would love to have you! I understand gas money and all that . Anytime you want to get away you have a second home here my friend!
JC, liking the truck camping too and just happened to have the same truck. You're an interesting person with other content to share I'm sure, so when you aren't able to salt water fish switch to fresh water, sing us some camp fire songs more cooking etc. Hoping to see one go viral for you like catching a big fish.
Another great truck camping trip! I really love that truck! Not sure if I would bump my head haha. I was wondering where the monster mullet went, was hoping to see it in the cc & c. Spam is awesome for breakfast with eggs. Nice seasonings with the fish! Thanks for another awesome video
Great video JC! Good effort with the Cast Net, which resulted in a tasty board of food from Chef JC! 😋😋 Never understood why you folks across the Pond flip your fried Eggs 'over easy'! Nobody flips Eggs here! I've read & seen about that Red Tide quite a bit - we don't get such problems here, and looking at those dead Fish, I'd be reluctant to eat anything caught there anyway. Stay safe & well - Dave. 👍👍
According to youtube. Gary Thuerk is called the father of spam for being the first to send out an unsolicited email to 600 people in 1978. The term spam comes from Monty Python's flying circus sketch were they would go around chanting "Spam" so loudly and repetitively that it would drown out other conversations. The sketch aired on Dec 15, 1970.
Carry a snatch hook with you for those mullet JC! I always have one. Easier to throw in a bag and VERY effective in schooled mullet. Plus you can cast way farther than you can throw a net. There’s a few TH-cam videos on it. Check it out.
Grew up eating fried spam sandwiches, sliced home grown tomato a little pepper no salt needed as you know. It is also good for making omelets diced up with some green pepper, onion and cheese. they make a jalapeno flavor also if you can find it
Hey man I love your videos, love that your local and your positivity is amazing. If I could say any recommendation for something it would be to please show us your setups more often. Or the rig you have to catch what your aiming for. Thank you!
There's a ton of salt in spam, you'll like the low sodium spam better. I melt mexican blend cheese all over it. I lived a midsize city in OH for a year.Every 2 hours at night there was a CSX train that came through and was only about 20' from the apartment..They had to blow the horn at every street and it shook the apartment until the last car was passed, but you get used to it after a week or so.
people confuse because the ones that you have caught are usually called sea mojarra or "mojarra de mar", and the tilapias are known as mojarras but from the river "mojarra de rio" fresh water, so whataever both the easy way to fry is heating the oil on the pan and first add and garlic tooth and then put the mojarra seasoned with the season you want, sometimes we usually put a bit of salt all over the mojarra and thats it, to enjoy.
Ya, I'm going all the way up to honeymoon island to beach fish. Normally I'd hit fort desoto or Anna Maria. Last weekend I travelled across the state to Hutchinson Island since my son had a soccer game over there. Went up a day early, stayed the night, and hit the beach first thing in the morning. Got a couple green moray eels (that was a trip, those things are writhing squiggly balls of death) and a few aquarium type fish I've never caught. There ya go for a video idea -- moray eel catch & cook lol :) But ya, Red tide is a huge problem right now :(
Dude, you have much more drive and motivation than I do. I love to fish and eat the critters. I couldn't imagine trying to make a living at it though. I'm just too programmed for a regimented routine. Guess what I'm saying is that some of us really look up to you, and get inspired by your willingness to put it on the line so you can do what you love. That's true dedication. I for one hope you continue to do your thing and find tremendous success along the way. Take care, brother. Hoping the Red Tide abates, and you can enjoy the fishing as it should be. Just thought I'd add, I hope you carry. Maybe everybody is nice and honest down there. Hope so. Otherwise, stay vigilant. The world is getting to be a dangerous place. Peace.
@@RadReelingFishing I get that the passes and whatnot are tough right now and it’s affecting things like pompano and other species. I’ve been doing this here since I was born literally. Left you a message JC. The red tide is big sugar, golf courses, and yard fertilizer. Yep, egg prices dropped this week man... Life is wonderful. We have it down here but I have not seen it while fishing.. Have fished a couple of times each week for the last month and 7 straight days 2/2 thru 2/8. Fished up north of here twice in 30 days and saw no dead fish,, no wattery eyes. I have huge bad lung issues butt have not had issues. Check patreon messages.

Hi JC…. I just found your channel and I love the content Great videos and great “Down to Earth” approach to fishing and the outdoors. What part of Florida are you in? If the fish seems healthy it's okay that's what he experts say anyway. Great info here: mote.org/news/florida-red-tide
Fried mullet and grits for breakfast
If the red tide is cramping your style, maybe do some gear/technique videos until it passes. Not worth breathing that crap for nothing.
why not show your gear or truck or just a cook up only, or stay fishing multiple times in one location, crab traps?
