Got so lucky and managed to get him on my acc 🥹 Rn he's doing so much heavy lifting bcs I don't have a dps so he has to be one, with Nicole and Soukaku as his support 😂 His combos are genuinely so satisfying to do though so it works out (tho I'm sure him as a main dps role won't last long once I reach endgame. Still, mishmash teams kinda part of the charm of early game journey haha) So glad to see this video guide from you Guoben, all hail our wolf furry!

Nice to see you're covering zzz too now. I think you're underestimating the damage he's actually dishing out, especially in lower levels. I'm using pen and 0 crit he still hits like a truck
As I said in the early game he might do a ton, but end game the damage is 1/4th of a DPS unit on field not talking post buffs. This is on a crit build too.

I need ppls opinion. My rotation is Ellen, lycaon, soukaku. I start chain combo with Ellen, I switch to lycaon, switch to soukaku, and switch to bangboo (which automatically swaps to Ellen for the final chain atk). I’ve been doing this combo for a while now but I notice ppl don’t follow this. I’m trying to do the most dmg, is this the right one? Yes I can test, but gonna share this here incase others were wanting to also know the most dmg rotation. This only works sometimes when the boss stays dazed throughout the whole thing, if I see the rainbow bar go grey, it won’t activate the bangboo/ellen chain choice at the very end of it

You should roll on Ellen since that would give you both teams you need. They are also top teams in the game rn. Zhu yuan is nice and I'm going for her, but she doesn't have a good team rn. Anby Nicole are her best bet. When QingYi comes out she should replace Anby and make the team much stronger. Until then I think Ellen will help you out a lot.
Okay so i might be a little confused, but is the short animation for Lycaon's chain better than ending on Soukaku with her quick assist to DPS? To preface, i usually let Lycaon do the full break, chain to Soukaku, and then transfer her buff over through quick assist to Ellen, who enters in her roaming state
Thanks for the guide! I'm having trouble understanding what you mean about finishing Chain Attacks on bosses with Lycaon because of his short CA animation. Is there a way to manually end a chain early against bosses without using every team member, or do you mean that you should just let the CA timer run out after after Lycaon's CA instead of continuing the chain, because it would be a stun state DPS loss to complete it? Something like Lycaon stun -> Ellen CA -> Lycaon CA -> wait for timer? And if so, are you supposed to apply Soukaku's Fly the Flag buff and baton pass it to Ellen with EX Skill -> Quick Assist instead of Chain Attack -> Quick Assist?
On a boss you have 3 chains, so you can soukaku -> ellen. On less chain attacks it will depend on what you want to do. On a boss youll wanna end on the shortest animation (or dps if you cant be bothered, or support in a couple cases), and Lycaon is a very fast animation. You do his but its so fast you get back to ellen faster than if she ended the chain with her chain attack. From what we know it starts ticking down after the last chain, so saving time on that is great for us. If you dont wanna worry, just end on Ellen i guess

That being said though, is Soukaku not one of those cases for a Support you want to end on? I thought the standard play was to end CA on Soukaku, which auto triggers Fly the Flag and a Quick Assist opportunity, so you could quick swap to Ellen while baton passing Fly the Flag to her
OH I get it now, the Fly the Flag buff will persist on Ellen even if you do CA Soukaku -> Ellen -> Lycaon huh. I thought that the buff would be lost after Ellen tags out. Now I get it, thanks!

I was kinda disappointed that I didn't get Lycaon in the discount wish. My smile dissipated really quickly when I got Nekomata. But then she actually feels really good to play and THEN I got him in the next 80 pulls in the standard 💀 They're my mains now.
Great video, but I have the following question. I play in phone and I have not been able to find a 'swap back' button, which in computer would be pretedermined in the 'C'-key. Assuming I'm using the typical build of DPS-STUN-SUPPORT (Ellen, Von Lycaon and Soukaku), is there a way to swap fastly into Ellen in the stun phase?, cause in the video you said to finish the Chain attack with him and then swapping into Ellen.
I got him and Hellfire Gears from the standard banner 7 pulls apart. I also happen to have Ellen (heck, I thing at least 50% of the players do, considering one can easily grind out enough free premium currency to guarantee one S-ranker), and I just pulled Nekomata's signature W-gear with the 3 tickets from reaching Proxy level 40. Combine that with a M6 Soukaku, and I think I'm set for the foreseeable future.
What skills do I need to prioritize leveling up on him? Just basic and EX? I'm still not used to what skills I should be upgrading in this game. I know attackers needs every skill upgrades but what about other class?
if you have Soukaku, wouldnt you want them to go second (or last) and then your dps last (or quick assist after Soukaku)? I am under the assumption the attk buff they grant is only to the next unit

@@guobauncertified that's how I feel about it myself : if you happen to not kill the foe within 1 daze - it's likely to be useless till the end of the encounter, and if the enemy is beefy you want them to recover out of daze with like 55%+ HP, so passive will still work, so it's really effective only against squishy normal and elite enemies :/ guess I'll just craft SO then completely ignoring fossil :)

How can you tell if an Impact% buff is counted separately as a "Combat Impact%" multiplier? Shouldn't both The Restrained and Hellfire Gears provide Combat Impact%? After all, both of them are only activated by doing certain actions in-combat.
The restrained main stat the 18% is pre-combat. Same with Hellfire. Restrained Passive gives Daze% which is like a DMG% for daze values. Hellfire gives Impact in combat which is the Combat Impact
Not me watching guides when Im not even aure I want to install the gane. Question yhough, how relevant is ping for combat(switching, coubter, etc)? That moght just be why I install or not this game
I would argue that Anomaly stats are not half bad main stats for stun units. you cant really run Anomaly Mastery since thats the same slot as Impact, but I do run AP on the flex disc drive slot for Lycaon, because freeze/shatter are very strong within the context of my mono Ice team, and there is no Ice Anomaly unit so far.
the first 5 star I got was Lycaon's W-Engine from the standard one. Then when I tried to get Ellen, I lost to Lycaon. Then I got Lycaon's C1 from the standard again. I'm taking it as a sign to get C6. (and because the Mindscape Cinema changes at C6 to shirtless Lycaon😅😅)

I was aging for zhu yuan, but I got Ellen in my first 50/50. So I surrender to my gacha gambling addiction and throw 70 pulls I had saved after getting Ellen and got him, so what I can say? I build the pity for Jane doe 😂
The Restrained is still the BiS as it gives him maximum damage daze frkm his basic attacks near tk almost 100% llus some damage which is not insignificant. Lycaon kit does not have any synergy with Ex special attacks so building daze on that is a DPS lost and the daze percentage increse from holding down Ex Special is not significant compared to The Restraints stats boost in his basic attack daze application.

Core is best for one rotation, otherwise its just weaker than his sig but not by far

You want to do that generally. This was about a boss with 3 chain attacks. Soukaku transfers it in the chain to Ellen. Then ending on Lycaon

Steam oven is the safest since you wont always get max core benefit

Got Nekomata early too, and still working up too 300 pulls to get Lycaon, hopefully earlier. But Nekomata is really a great asset early in the game!

if you have Soukaku, wouldnt you want them to go second (or last) and then your dps last (or quick assist after Soukaku)? I am under the assumption the attk buff they grant is only to the next unit

I really like Steam Oven. Core is OP on 1-2 rotation, then semi useless once the boss is low HP.
@@guobauncertified that's how I feel about it myself : if you happen to not kill the foe within 1 daze - it's likely to be useless till the end of the encounter, and if the enemy is beefy you want them to recover out of daze with like 55%+ HP, so passive will still work, so it's really effective only against squishy normal and elite enemies :/ guess I'll just craft SO then completely ignoring fossil :)

How can you tell if an Impact% buff is counted separately as a "Combat Impact%" multiplier?
Shouldn't both The Restrained and Hellfire Gears provide Combat Impact%? After all, both of them are only activated by doing certain actions in-combat.
The restrained main stat the 18% is pre-combat.
Same with Hellfire.
Restrained Passive gives Daze% which is like a DMG% for daze values.
Hellfire gives Impact in combat which is the Combat Impact

I would argue that Anomaly stats are not half bad main stats for stun units. you cant really run Anomaly Mastery since thats the same slot as Impact, but I do run AP on the flex disc drive slot for Lycaon, because freeze/shatter are very strong within the context of my mono Ice team, and there is no Ice Anomaly unit so far.

Stated some other teams later on. Nekomata's Additional Ability doesnt seem to be that major from calcs, so you could even run her there

the first 5 star I got was Lycaon's W-Engine from the standard one. Then when I tried to get Ellen, I lost to Lycaon. Then I got Lycaon's C1 from the standard again. I'm taking it as a sign to get C6. (and because the Mindscape Cinema changes at C6 to shirtless Lycaon😅😅)

I was aging for zhu yuan, but I got Ellen in my first 50/50. So I surrender to my gacha gambling addiction and throw 70 pulls I had saved after getting Ellen and got him, so what I can say? I build the pity for Jane doe 😂
Add the skill priority to level up on the guide pls, especially now that resources are scarce on the start of the game

The Restrained is still the BiS as it gives him maximum damage daze frkm his basic attacks near tk almost 100% llus some damage which is not insignificant.
Lycaon kit does not have any synergy with Ex special attacks so building daze on that is a DPS lost and the daze percentage increse from holding down Ex Special is not significant compared to The Restraints stats boost in his basic attack daze application.
