I stopped believing in God for a really long time. I would wake up crying because I was so scared that after I died that was it. I was so scared heaven wasn't real. I started going to a new church for youth group. I loved it and every time I went id feel closer to God. We went on a retreat. It was so amazing I could feel gods presence. We had "me time" and we would write in these journals they gave us and it had questions in it. It said to close your eyes and let God talk to you. I closed my eyes and I started writing without being able to controls myself. My eyes were closed I didn't know what I was writing. I opened my eyes and there on the paper was messages from God. "Never give up on me" "you are loved" "heaven is real" "can you see me" I closed my eyes again and I saw Jesus on the cross then he came off of it and I saw a light, it was God we followed it and then we were in heaven. I started crying. God is real. Never give up on him, and he will never give up on you
I agree with you and I also think a song that convicts the heart of sinners making them hate the song is also world changing song because we as fellow Christians can lead them to take a closer look at themselves and think hard on exactly why they hate that song, because they are sinners, and that will leave a way to the gospel, a path for us to tell them of the gospel !

Wow. When you actually meditate on the words of this song and what it's saying, it's amazing. You're basically telling God, "God, take me wherever you want to take me; even if it's the most dangerous place, take me there. I know that I'll be able to call upon you when it gets tough and you will help me because we're a team. You gave me this mission to glorify your name and to strengthen my faith and I know that you'll take me out of here safely." You're giving yourself free reign to God and letting him do what he wants to do with your life. That can be scary, because most of the time, God calls us to do something out of our comfort zones.... But we have to believe (have faith!) that God will guide us to the purpose of the mission and protect us at all times. He's called and guided many of his children into places that are life changing and at times dangerous, but he never left them alone. God will never leave you not forsake you.

it's no mistake that when you need God at a specific moment in life, He finds a way to you through faith. I had never heard of Hillsong before, and this song broke me down to tears. Thank you Lord for everything you have given me. This song has given me the strength I was searching for.

First time I heard this song, I couldn't get the beautiful heavenly tone out of my head. I kept on humming it over and over throughout my day. I was obsessed with the out of this world music notes it was composed of. I then started to pay attention to the lyrics, and I fell in love deeper than thought imagined. The words felt like they were written for me because of a certain situation I was battling on my own. I thought God had turned a deaf ear to my pain, when in fact he was speaking to me through this beautiful song. I felt as if I were singing it from my heart, as if I were the one that came up with the words; as a way to communicate with God Almighty. I'm sure I'm not alone on this one here. I agree. When nobody seems to hear me or understand me, or care about me, I listen or sing this song and then I have the feeling that God hears me and would be there for me if I battle the battle with myself or the ones who can't accept my faith. I love to sing this in church, and when we all sing this song in church, it feels like God is close to us all. I was struggling with this too until I learned something: just receive and grow in God's grace. HEBREWS 13:5 says he will never leave you nor forsake you. His grace is what brings and keeps us close to Him whether we feel He isn't present. He is always there because His Word says so. Believe in what the Word says over your feelings because sometimes your feelings can deceive you and separate you from God.

This sing is SO touching. There is this girl in my church, Kiley, she has the voice of an angel. Every time she sings it I feel the presence of the Lord.

Im not very involved and church and never knew where i fit in and my friend invited me to DNow (Disciple now) for the weekend and i went and it changed me and my relationship with god i had a group of friends around me and the speaker started talking about how he saw god in all of us that weekend and he came to my group in the front and told everyone to get in there groups and pray and my group got in a big circle all together and he started talking about god and we all just bawled our eyes out and that was the weekend i accepted god in my heart. I havent been baptized because im very shy and I believe that i dont have to let the world know im with god but it only matters that he knows. Im not ashamed like many would think i just only god needs to know.

When I was struggling during my first years of high school, this song would always lift me up. I remember this playing at adoration and at our school mass and I just cried. I was crying because I felt His presence; just knowing that he was listening to me and knew what I was going through during that time was so comforting. This song means so much to me, and I pray that one day, I’ll be able to sing it with the angels in heaven.

I know I can't sing but it's just a way to express my emotions. My uncle is going to pass away within 3 days. I never talked to him a lot, but I have known him my whole life and he was there since I was a kid. I am now 16. It just makes me realize that life is really short. When I grow up, and be done with high school, I want to go to California Baptist University hoping that I could learn more about God. I don't know who is reading this, but life can be over any minute. We should thank God every single morning that we are getting to live this life one more day, day by day. Months by months. Years by years. I know my uncle is going to heaven soon, that's something that makes me feel a lot better, even though God only let him live on this earth for 60 years. I stopped believing in God for a really long time. I would wake up crying because I was so scared that after I died that was it. I was so scared heaven wasn't real. I started going to a new church for youth group. I loved it and every time I went id feel closer to God. We went on a retreat. It was so amazing I could feel gods presence. We had "me time" and we would write in these journals they gave us and it had questions in it. It said to close your eyes and let God talk to you. I closed my eyes and I started writing without being able to controls myself. My eyes were closed I didn't know what I was writing. I opened my eyes and there on the paper was messages from God. "Never give up on me" "you are loved" "heaven is real" "can you see me" I closed my eyes again and I saw Jesus on the cross then he came off of it and I saw a light, it was God we followed it and then we were in heaven. I started crying. God is real. Never give up on him, and he will never give up on you

Wow. When you actually meditate on the words of this song and what it's saying, it's amazing. You're basically telling God, "God, take me wherever you want to take me; even if it's the most dangerous place, take me there. I know that I'll be able to call upon you when it gets tough and you will help me because we're a team. You gave me this mission to glorify your name and to strengthen my faith and I know that you'll take me out of here safely." You're giving yourself free reign to God and letting him do what he wants to do with your life. That can be scary, because most of the time, God calls us to do something out of our comfort zones.... But we have to believe (have faith!) that God will guide us to the purpose of the mission and protect us at all times. He's called and guided many of his children into places that are life changing and at times dangerous, but he never left them alone. God will never leave you not forsake you.

it's no mistake that when you need God at a specific moment in life, He finds a way to you through faith. I had never heard of Hillsong before, and this song broke me down to tears. Thank you Lord for everything you have given me. This song has given me the strength I was searching for.

First time I heard this song, I couldn't get the beautiful heavenly tone out of my head. I kept on humming it over and over throughout my day. I was obsessed with the out of this world music notes it was composed of. I then started to pay attention to the lyrics, and I fell in love deeper than thought imagined. The words felt like they were written for me because of a certain situation I was battling on my own. I thought God had turned a deaf ear to my pain, when in fact he was speaking to me through this beautiful song. I felt as if I were singing it from my heart, as if I were the one that came up with the words; as a way to communicate with God Almighty. I'm sure I'm not alone on this one here.

I was struggling with this too until I learned something: just receive and grow in God's grace. HEBREWS 13:5 says he will never leave you nor forsake you. His grace is what brings and keeps us close to Him whether we feel He isn't present. He is always there because His Word says so. Believe in what the Word says over your feelings because sometimes your feelings can deceive you and separate you from God.

Im not very involved and church and never knew where i fit in and my friend invited me to DNow (Disciple now) for the weekend and i went and it changed me and my relationship with god i had a group of friends around me and the speaker started talking about how he saw god in all of us that weekend and he came to my group in the front and told everyone to get in there groups and pray and my group got in a big circle all together and he started talking about god and we all just bawled our eyes out and that was the weekend i accepted god in my heart. I havent been baptized because im very shy and I believe that i dont have to let the world know im with god but it only matters that he knows. Im not ashamed like many would think i just only god needs to know.
I’ve been running away. I’ve been running far and distant from God. I’m scared, I admit that I’m scared to accept myself because if I do. It means I’ll never seen the same, to the people I love to the man above. I’m not sick nor am I in trouble in health. This is all mentally and emotionally exhausting, I haven’t lost hope. I shall find my way slowly and will rise higher through strength and glory. Blessings.

When I was struggling during my first years of high school, this song would always lift me up. I remember this playing at adoration and at our school mass and I just cried. I was crying because I felt His presence; just knowing that he was listening to me and knew what I was going through during that time was so comforting. So when I was very very little maybe around 3 I didn’t know who God was I kept hearing “ God is amazing” and I asked everyone who’s God? Then that’s when my teacher sat me down and starting telling me about him. Then when I was 4 I started trusting in him and I believed in him. So then I asked him to be my savior. Then when I was 5 I saw something...I felt something...I was sad at that moment and I guess God came to me telling me it’s going to be okay. A lot of people would tell me now like “How can you believe in someone you have seen or heard?” I said “Because he does talk to us through the Bible,our dreams,and even through prayer when we pray”. I can't help but start crying when it says "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders". god has been there for me through every single thing I've ever been through even if I didnt realize it. when I fell down, he'd he there holding me up. I can't thank him enough for all of my truly wonderful blessings.
I know I can't sing but it's just a way to express my emotions. My uncle is going to pass away within 3 days. I never talked to him a lot, but I have known him my whole life and he was there since I was a kid. I am now 16. It just makes me realize that life is really short. When I grow up, and be done with high school, I want to go to California Baptist University hoping that I could learn more about God. I don't know who is reading this, but life can be over any minute. We should thank God every single morning that we are getting to live this life one more day, day by day. Months by months. Years by years. I know my uncle is going to heaven soon, that's something that makes me feel a lot better, even though God only let him live on this earth for 60 years. I have never lost an uncle or aunt so I don't really know how to deal with this all. i am just praying to God that he goes to heaven, and all his pain and suffering will go away. God is so powerful .
