I know what you mean about family not understanding. Even my husband doesn't understand. I went to the convention in March and finally after all these years got Micky's autograph who is my idol. I still want to go see Peter in May, I want to see Mike but his was a little more expensive. My husband is like when's it gonna stop. I know it's cause I dont have a job but hopefully I will in a month. I had tickets to see the 45th anniversary tour in NH but mine was one that was cancelled. I cried!
Wonderful tribute. I still can't believe he is gone and it has been a year already. I do cry when I see his videos and songs. I was a young teenager in 1966, 13 a matter of fact and now almost 60 in 2 months. It was like growing up with a best friend, family. people think your crazy but they do not understand what this man has done and the Monkees showd the critics up, and performed for 46 years!! They should induct them in the hall of R&R. He will never be forgotten, he will always live on.
Hi Sarah, I live in Saco, Maine and when they came to Portland in 2001 and played at the Portland Expo and the place was just down the street and I couldn't get the day off and I was mad. Now I am no longer working and now Davy is gone. Couldn't go to the convention because lack of funds. All I can do is keep him in my heart and hopefully Micky and Peter and MIke will come to Maine again. I love these guys and always will as long as I live and continue to listen to them and videos. Thank You
Awhh..thank you for sharing your story. You are absolutely correct. Those who think that we are crazy just don't understand what real love and appreciation means. YES ! I don't understand why the Monkees are not inducted to the R&R Hall of Fame yet at this point ! They deserved to get awarded YEARS ago !
I just can't wait to see them. I hope they come to NH! I want to take my best friend Meg if she will go. That will be awsome to see them in concert with all the new stuff they do now at shows! I Can't wait!
